Companionship with clear support for a woman in Helsingør

Are you experienced in creating calm and overview? Then you can play an important role in the daily life of a woman with special needs.

About the task

You will become part of a small team around a 49-year-old woman with congenital brain injury who needs support to maintain an independent life at home. She has fixed routines and a clear preference for how tasks should be carried out.

Your task will be to accompany her to activities she chooses – e.g. a trip to the city or help with shopping. You must be clear and patient in your approach.

About you

You are robust, calm and clear in your communication. You are able to meet the citizen’s needs with respect and persistence – also when cooperation requires a firm and acknowledging approach. You can navigate fixed routines and at the same time maintain an overview when the mood changes.

You may be trained as a pedagogue, social- and health care assistant (SSA), social- and health care helper (SSH) or have another relevant pedagogical or health professional background. It is an advantage if you have experience with citizens with acquired or congenital brain injury or similar support needs.

Working hours

The position is 15 hours per month for accompaniment, which can be scheduled on both weekdays and weekends.

The hours are planned on an ongoing basis together with the citizen and the team.

You will become part of a family-owned company with a lot of dedicated employees. You have a fixed advisor you can always get sparring from. Outside office hours there is always a staffed duty phone, so you are never alone. Salary and pension in accordance with the National Agreement for handicap assistance in the citizen’s own home (minus BPA) concluded between FOA and Danish Industry. You are covered by DUOS’ liability and work accident insurance and health insurance is part of your pension scheme.

You will receive relevant introduction and ongoing upskilling – and you will not be able to avoid developing yourself both personally and professionally when you work with people with us at DUOS.
