About the job

The position is 37 hours per week with commencement on 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people as well as their families, helping them find their way in and take responsibility for a good life? Are you motivated by meeting people with different backgrounds and life circumstances, and do you believe that all families have resources that can be brought into play? Then you might be the person we are looking for for our intensive offer Mastery with own Network (MMN) in the Family House.

The team has recently expanded, so today there are 4 family contact specialists in the team. As one of our experienced contact persons has chosen to seek new challenges, we are looking for a new colleague who is passionate about working with children, young people and families.

Who you are and your role with us

As a contact person/family consultant in MMN you will be part of a dedicated team where professionalism, collaboration and development are in focus. Your working day will include a high degree of independence in planning your tasks while you become part of a strong professional community with ongoing sparring, team meetings and supervision.

Your tasks will primarily take place in the families' own homes, where you support and guide children, youths and parents in their everyday life. The aim is to help families take care of the child’s wellbeing and development through concrete, directive and relationship-based interventions.

That means that you will, among other things

  • support families in creating structure and stability in everyday life
  • strengthen the relationships between children, young people and parents
  • help parents develop strategies and competencies that support the child’s needs and their understanding of this
  • support children and young people in handling emotional and relational challenges
  • involve the family’s own network as an active resource
  • work closely with authorities advisers and other professionals around the family.

There will periodically also be tasks of a compensatory nature to ensure the child’s wellbeing.

We believe that you

  • are trained as a pedagogue or have equivalent experience
  • work independently while thriving in close collaboration with colleagues
  • can create trusting relationships with both children, young people and parents
  • have experience with or a desire to work in a network-inclusive manner
  • are structured and good at planning your own workday
  • thrive in interdisciplinary collaboration and actively contribute to the community
  • meet people with respect, curiosity and acknowledgement
  • have good writing skills.

Who are you?

You are first and foremost a person who is present and authentic in your meetings with the families, even when situations are difficult. You have experience working with children in particularly vulnerable positions. Children who are burdened by complex issues, such as parents’ challenges, divorce issues, own diagnoses and/or general distress. You must be ready to work with the families around the challenges they face and not afraid to ensure the direction set is followed.

You can stay calm and keep an overview when the child’s wellbeing is challenged, and you can enter into difficult conversations with respect and clarity. You are not afraid to move outside your comfort zone because you know that development and change often start there.

With us you will get

  • a strong professional environment with engaged and competent colleagues
  • a dedicated MMN team consisting of a professional leader and three colleagues
  • a workplace with high professionalism, development opportunities and a focus on quality
  • ongoing supervision, both internal and external
  • accessible management and the possibility for close professional sparring
  • a workplace with a "high ceiling" and room for both professional and personal development.

The Family House consists of just under 50 employees who work with different interventions under the Child Act. We use, among other things, FIT (Feedback Informed Treatment) and work inspired by ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), because we believe that children, young people and families should have the greatest possible influence on their own development.
