Contact person – Næstved

Do you have energy for life and want to be there for someone? Then you are EXACTLY who we need! On behalf of Næstved Municipality, CFD Rådgivning is seeking a contact person for an active elderly gentleman with deaf-blindness.

The gentleman is socially blind, speaks clearly and uses his hearing aids. It is important that you can speak clearly.

This is hourly paid work, about 300 hours per year.

The tasks

As a contact person, you are a link between the man with deaf-blindness and his surroundings, where you function as his “eyes” and “ears”.

The tasks include

• Accompaniment to the dentist, hearing clinic and walks/hikes, etc.
• Assistance with using aids e.g. mobile phone
• Accompaniment to concerts, lectures
• Accompaniment during weekend stays and international trips
• Accompaniment and description of visual information in connection with participation in Deafblind Denmark's activities.

The work is not physically strenuous.

About you

• You can be flexible with working hours
• You are mature, calm, friendly and accommodating. Preferably 60-75 years old
• You are open to learning something new and are reliable and stable
• You are ready to focus on details and describe visuals.

You will receive ongoing training and sparring from both the deaf-blind consultant and the citizen regarding, among other things, accompaniment and more.

Before you begin the work, you must complete an e-learning course (total about 2.5 hours), which provides an additional introduction to the job. This instruction takes place at home on your own computer, and you will be paid for it. As a contact person you will also be invited to participate in paid course days, where you also meet other contact persons.
