Hanstholm Kitchen is seeking a strong and engaged finance profile who can keep track of the numbers, challenge with analyses and be an active participant in developing the business.

You will have a central role in the company, where you become a close sparring partner for the CEO and the management team. You will work broadly with finance, reporting, budgeting, liquidity and analyses – but just as importantly you will be the person who can translate the numbers into insight and a basis for decision-making.

The position is ideal for you who have a background as an auditor, HD or similar and perhaps a couple of years’ experience from a manufacturing company. You may currently hold a controller role and have ambitions to take the next step.

In the long run the ambition is that you develop the role and take overall responsibility for the finance function.

Your role – close to the business

You will be part of an organization where the finance function is not just about bookkeeping and reporting, but about understanding the business and actively contributing to its development.

As the finance lead you will be the CEO’s natural sparring partner on financial and business questions. You must be able to go into detail when necessary – but also raise your eyes and see the bigger context.

You will among other things

· Support the CEO and the leadership team with financial presentations, analyses and decision basis

· Prepare and follow up on KPI’s in close collaboration with the CEO

· Be responsible for budgeting and the preparation of quarterly forecasts

· Prepare liquidity budgets and monitor the company’s cash flow

· Prepare, analyse and comment on periodic financial statements

· Identify development trends, deviations and opportunities in the finances

· Contribute with analyses that can support optimization and development of the business

· Serve as contact person and sparring partner for auditors, banks, insurance companies, etc.

· Ensure high quality and structure in financial reporting

· Contribute to the development and optimization of financial processes and system support

· Actively participate in the development of the company and its business decisions

· Act as controller in relation to the stores, ensuring they are on the right track and contributing to a consistent structure

· Follow up on projects with the project department and also ensure that they are up-to-date and on the right track, as well as create a consistent structure

· And yes, everyday finance, you will also take care of

Your background

We imagine that you have a relevant financial education – for example as an auditor, HD or similar.

You ideally have a couple of years’ experience from a manufacturing company and have built a strong accounting understanding. You do not need to be a fully qualified CFO yet. The most important is that you have the ambitions, curiosity and the professional foundation to develop in the role.

· Strong accounting competencies and at the same time good business understanding

· Strong analytical and able to translate data into concrete recommendations

· Ability to communicate financial information in a way that makes sense to other disciplines

· Interest in KPI’s, reporting, budgets, forecasts and liquidity management

· Strong IT skills; we use Monitor as ERP

· Work independently, proactively and with a sense of responsibility

· Follows your tasks through to the end and is persistent

· Has ambitions to develop both yourself and the finance function

· Wants to actively contribute to the development of the business

· Is flexible regarding both tasks and working hours

· Encounters colleagues and tasks with an open mind and good humor

You should be the type who not only notes when something looks different than expected – but also wants to figure out why and what we can do about it.

CEO’s wingman

You will have a role where you come close to the decisions that drive the business.

We are therefore not looking for just a skilled financial professional. We are looking for a colleague who wants to understand the entire business and help lift it.

You must be able to challenge the CEO and the management team in a constructive way, ask good questions and bring your own perspectives.

At the same time, you must be grounded and want to collaborate with colleagues across the organization. You must be able to move effortlessly between the spreadsheet, production and the management room.

It is precisely the combination of professionalism, business understanding and people skills that will be decisive for your success.

Hanstholm Kitchen – Danish carpentry craftsmanship and uncompromising design since 1968

Hanstholm Kitchen is a traditional Danish carpentry company with roots in the raw, northwest Jutland nature in Thy. Since its founding in 1968, the company has dedicated itself to creating unique, tailor-made interior solutions where flawless cabinetmaking, timeless aesthetics and modern functionality merge.

The company designs and manufactures exclusive solutions for the entire home, including handmade cabinetry kitchens, bathroom interiors and tailor-made wardrobes and storage solutions.

Production and Organization

All furniture is produced at our own factory on Skyumvej in Vilsund, near Thisted. Here, modern precision technology is combined with proud, classical cabinetmaking traditions. In addition to producing its own brand, the factory today also acts as a quality subcontractor of cabinet work for other selected brands.

The company employs around 35-40 dedicated employees in production and administration, and the products are sold through a nationwide network of independent dealers and showrooms.
