About the job

Would you like to help strengthen the daily operations and development of the clinic – and at the same time have the opportunity to put your own professional and organizational mark on everyday life?

The regional clinic in Hurup is seeking a coordinating practice nurse for a new and exciting role. The positions are part of an organizational restructuring, where we want to strengthen daily coordination, create even better patient flow, and support a good and well-functioning collaboration between the clinic's nurses, doctors and management.

We are looking for someone who both enjoys patient-facing work and daily coordination, and who is motivated to create structure, overview and good solutions together with colleagues.

About the clinics

The Hurup regional clinic is a relatively large clinic with a broad and interesting patient population.

The clinic consists of a manager, 7 nurses and 4 doctors and has a patient base of about 5,700 residents.

As coordinating nurse you will be an important part of the daily operations and a natural link between the clinic's staff and management.

Your role

You will have both your own clinical tasks and a coordinating function. You will help ensure that today’s resources and competencies are used in the best possible way, and that patients experience a cohesive and well-functioning care pathway.

Your tasks will include among others

  • to coordinate and prioritize today’s tasks
  • to create an overview of staffing, patient flow and current operational challenges
  • to distribute and reallocate staff and tasks as needed
  • to coordinate urgent and unforeseen tasks
  • to support good collaboration between doctors and nurses
  • to identify bottlenecks and undesirable workflows and contribute to finding solutions
  • to be a professional sparring partner for your nursing colleagues
  • to contribute to quality assurance, training, and implementation of new workflows
  • to actively participate in the development of the clinic together with the manager.

You will receive a delegated mandate to make necessary changes in the daily distribution of work within the agreed framework. You must therefore be able to make decisions when everyday life changes, while knowing when an issue should be escalated to the manager.

The role does not entail personnel responsibility, but you will have a central role in daily coordination and in supporting a professional and constructive working environment.

We are looking for you who

  • are a trained nurse and ideally have experience from general practice or the primary health care sector
  • are professionally well-founded and at the same time eager to take responsibility for the overall operations
  • are structured and good at creating an overview – even when it is busy
  • are visible, present and trust-inducing
  • communicate clearly and respectfully and have a sense for both relationships and results
  • enjoy coordinating and prioritizing and dare to make decisions
  • are eager to help develop workflows and create structure in daily life
  • have good collaboration skills and can rally colleagues
  • have experience with or interest in administrative tasks and staff planning – experience with duty rostering is an advantage
  • can see yourself working in a politically led organization with many partners and different considerations.

The most important thing, however, is that you want to make a difference and can see yourself as an active player in both the clinical day-to-day and the continued development of the clinic.

With us you get

A meaningful and varied job, where you every day help ensure high-quality health services for the citizens.

You will get

  • a new and exciting role with the opportunity to shape the position
  • a combination of clinical, coordinating and development-oriented tasks
  • great potential to organize and develop the work locally in close collaboration with the manager
  • engaged and professionally skilled colleagues
  • a close collaboration between nurses, doctors and management
  • opportunities for professional and organizational development
  • a workplace where collaboration, integrity and innovation are highly valued.

You report to the clinic manager and work closely with the clinic's other staff. In addition, you will have close collaboration with the head of the Regional Clinics, the clinically responsible physician, the cross-disciplinary development nurse and the shared administrative functions.

Practical information

This is a 32-37 hour position.
