Create structure and pleasant afternoons for an 8-year-old boy

Do you have experience with autism and a calm approach? Then you can take on a cozy 1:1 task with a focus on structure, activities, and safe environments after school.

About the task

You will be a support for an 8-year-old boy with infantil autism. He is fond of fixed routines and activities and needs structure and predictability in the interaction.

The boy talks a lot and has a good memory. He is particularly interested in Minecraft and LEGO and also enjoys trips to playgrounds. When you are together, you can base activities on his interests and come up with activities that give him some good afternoons after school.

The boy may have difficulty reading others and needs clear guidance and close 1:1 support. Transitions and demands can be hard for him, so it is important that you help create structure around activities and transitions. If he becomes frustrated, he needs you to remain calm and support him back to a good activity.

About you

You can be a pedagogue or unskilled with relevant experience. The most important is that you have knowledge of infantil autism and understand the need for structure, predictability, and clear guidance.

You have a calm and patient approach and can build a good relationship through activities based on the boy's interests. At the same time you can be clear and support him when something becomes difficult or does not go as expected.

Working hours

The position is 5 hours per week distributed over two fixed afternoons

Monday 13:15–15:45

Thursday 13:15–15:45
