About the job

Do you want to use your scientific background to make a real difference – every day?

In our microbiological laboratory we work with analyses that contribute to food safety – and we need you who both want to take responsibility and be part of developing our methods and processes.

There is high activity in the laboratory and several exciting projects in the pipeline. Therefore we want to strengthen the team with yet another microbiologist who wants to take responsibility, create momentum and help develop both methods and solutions in close collaboration with colleagues and customers.

Do you want to help shape the laboratory work of the future?

We are looking for an experienced and action-oriented microbiologist who takes responsibility, makes decisions and translates professional knowledge into solutions that work in practice. You will become a key person in the team and will help ensure high professional quality as well as a strong link between the analytical methods and daily production in the laboratory. Here you will have the opportunity to make your mark and make a difference – for the laboratory, colleagues and our customers.

Job description

You will become part of a dedicated team where professionalism, collaboration, quality and efficiency are top priorities. The position contains a broad professional responsibility and combines method work, customer consulting and development tasks. You will play a central role in ensuring robust analytical methods, high quality and solutions that meet customers' needs and work effectively in daily production. Your tasks will include, among others:

  • Method responsibility and development: Examine, develop, validate and implement microbiological methods and ensure that they work effectively in daily production
  • Customer advisory: Advise customers on analyses, methods and results and contribute to customer projects and relevant solutions
  • Result and quality assurance: Assess analysis results, handle professional deviations and ensure relevant documentation and quality
  • Optimization and problem solving: Identify challenges and improvement opportunities and translate them into practical and durable solutions
  • Cross-disciplinary collaboration: Work closely with the laboratory, quality and other functions to create momentum and ensure good solutions

You will have the opportunity to influence both daily operations and development in the department.

Qualifications

You have a relevant natural science background with microbiology as a central subject and preferably practical experience from a laboratory. You understand the interplay between method requirements, quality and laboratory production and can translate professional knowledge into solutions that work in practice. You work independently, create momentum and take responsibility for ensuring that tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

We expect that you

  • Have experience with microbiology in food and/or water, preferably combined with practical laboratory experience
  • Have a natural drive and take initiative so tasks go from idea to action and are followed through
  • Create structure and overview in a busy everyday life and are good at prioritizing, staying focused and ensuring momentum
