Exciting position with ample opportunity for influence as the daily manager of the care staff at Gråsten Care Center.

We are seeking a daily manager with great engagement for a full-time position, with commencement on 1 January 2026 or by agreement.

You should have a health professional education, possibly with a bachelor’s degree, and preferably also with management experience.

Gråsten Care Center has

• 48 residents where we prioritise good contact with their families
• a regular day centre and a special day centre and an activity centre
• Own nurses during daytime hours, as well as close cooperation with home nursing
• Approximately 85 employees in total
• Own kitchen, service department, administration and cleaning department
• Newly renovated buildings with a fantastic location

Plejecentret is organized in the administration “Care and Development, Sønderborg Municipality” and has a close collaboration with the other care centers in the municipality.

You will have management of about 35 care professionals covering day, evening and night shifts, as well as a small group of unskilled on-call substitutes. They are all known for being professionally skilled, flexible, accommodating and having a good sense of humor. We take care of the core task with a focus on our residents thriving and living life to the full. We can collaborate across disciplines. We are service-minded and independent individuals, each of us, who all work from a mantra that every person is good at something when given the chance to show it.

To help you, we have a planner who creates the shift plan going forward for your entire group, as well as several skilled employees who have roles such as dementia resource persons, training supervisors, mobility supervisors, etc.

There are good opportunities to utilise your competencies at the care home, and we actively work with competence development.

We are looking for a leader who

• Consciously wishes to work constructively and purposefully based on the municipality's leadership principles
• Can focus on the core task and ensure that residents can live life to the full
• Works closely with the rest of the management
• Is both professionally and managerially well-qualified and handles staff leadership, where employees are involved and open to real influence
• Ensures that the politically adopted service level provides citizens with the best care
• Has responsibility for daily operations and is present and visible in it
• Understands the importance of trust and psychological safety
• Can translate theory into action
• Can navigate terms, regulations, collective agreements and laws
• Is skilled at planning and able to think long-term as well as find short-term solutions
• Has flair for shift planning and electronic care journals etc.
• Is trustworthy, acknowledging and can handle conflicts constructively
• Is good at communicating in an acknowledging and precise manner
• Has the courage and desire to develop Gråsten Care Center
• Is engaged and able to work reflectively
• Is a team player and always ready to help across the house and across tasks.
• Thrives working independently and likes to have responsibility.
