Danish teacher for 2nd grade at Espergærdeskolen

Because our Danish teacher is going on maternity leave, we are seeking a new Danish teacher for our 2nd grade, who will take over the maternity leave schedule with the possibility of permanent employment in the future.

Espergærdeskolen is a two-track school in growth, and at present we have three kindergarten classes. Therefore we also expect our staff group to grow.

Espergærdeskolen is a cozy school located in the middle of a residential neighborhood close to the coast and the forest. At our school we know each other, and that helps create security, trust and strong communities.

We value academic, social and developmental perspectives in each pupil's development and in the communities the pupil is part of. We continually work to adjust and rethink our pedagogical practice with a focus on pupils’ well-being and learning.

We have a solution-focused approach, where we base our practice on what works and develop from there.

We are a two-track primary school from grades 0–6 with about 350 pupils and 49 dedicated staff spread across the school, SFO and club.

• Have a main subject in Danish and an interest in or competencies within musically-creative subjects and/or physical education.

• Can create good learning processes with a focus on pupils’ motivation, eagerness to learn and social interaction, among other things through varied and differentiated teaching.
• Take into account the individual pupil’s strengths, competences and needs in your teaching.
• Actively and positively contribute to a committed collaboration with colleagues about pupils’ learning, formation and well-being.
• Be approachable and acknowledging in your approach to pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Be open to thinking new and different and be keen to develop the teaching – both academically, cross-curricular and in connection with theme weeks.
