Danish teacher for 2nd grade at Espergærdeskolen

Since our Danish teacher is going on maternity leave, we are looking for a new Danish teacher for our second year group, who will take over the maternity leave schedule with the possibility of permanent employment in due course.

Espergærdeskolen is a two-track school in growth, and at present we have three kindergarten classes. Therefore we also expect our staff group to grow.

Espergærdeskolen is a cozy school located in the middle of a residential area close to the coast and the forest. At our school we know each other, and that helps create security, trust and strong communities.

We value academic, social and developmental perspectives in each pupil’s development and in the communities the pupil is part of. We continually work on adjusting and rethinking our pedagogical practices with a focus on the pupils’ well-being and learning.

We have a solution-focused approach, where we base our work on what works and develop our practices from there.

We are a two-track primary school from 0th to 6th grade with about 350 pupils and 49 engaged staff distributed across the school, after-school care (SFO) and club.

• Have a specialization in Danish as well as interest in or competencies within musically-creative subjects and/or physical education.

• Be welcoming and appreciative in your approach to pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Be open to thinking new and different and be keen to develop the teaching – both academically, cross-curricular and in connection with theme weeks.

Salary and employment are according to the applicable collective agreement. A child certificate (criminal background check) will be obtained upon hire.
