About the job

Would you like a job where your ideas and creativity help strengthen the academic and social competencies of the students at Dragør School? Then you can help create the best possible school day for our pupils.

You now have the opportunity to be considered for an exciting position as a Danish teacher in the early years, where you will be the form teacher in close collaboration with the class’s mathematics teacher. We would like you to have a major in Danish. In addition, it is a strong wish that art has your interest. It would also be good if you have experience with Nature & Technology or English, but other subject combinations will also be fine.

We have 470 happy students spread over two tracks from 0-9. The first track is in Section 1, covering 0-5; the second track is in Section 2, covering 6-9. The school is also connected to a special classes range.

We focus on community, change and academic versatility, which create desire and room for learning. We are a school where people want to be, and where we take care of each other and the community

Tuesday is a fixed flex day, where there is plenty of time for in-depth study of the day’s subjects, and weeks 6 and 39 are fixed theme weeks. You will collaborate with the Youth School, the Music School and the Library to create a creative and varied school day and you will to a great extent involve the local areas, e.g. Kongelunden, the harbor and the beach as outdoor learning spaces with a strong focus on outdoor schooling; you can read more about it here https://detstoreklasselokale.dk/

Dragør School is located in an area close to Dragør’s old town center. The school has a good collaboration with the school board, parents and local stakeholders.

We offer

  • A small school with proud traditions and ambitions.
  • An active, cozy, good-humored and dedicated colleague community.
  • A daily life characterized by flexibility and inclusion.
  • A local working time agreement that ensures ample time for preparation.
  • An open and dialogue-oriented leadership, which is close to practice.
  • Staff benefits with discounts on bikes, swimming pool, massage etc.

What we need

  • That you are able to see the potential in every single child.
  • That you can put your own and your colleagues’ qualifications to use.
  • That you see a learning potential in using nature.
  • That you participate in developing an inclusive, solution-oriented and versatile learning environment.
  • That you are professionally and didactically well-founded and can set differentiated goals.

The position is to be filled as soon as possible.
