Danish teacher in the upper grades with an interest in LKT at Ådalens School

We specifically need a Danish teacher for the upper level in the lower secondary, who also has an interest in LKT. In addition to the Danish subject, we would very much like you to also be a co-class teacher in one of our wonderful upper-level classes. Additionally, it would be a plus if you can contribute with other subjects and experiences.

The position also offers the possibility to take on LKT tasks and/or supplementary Danish, so if that is a discipline or interest for you, there is plenty of opportunity for you to develop.

As an upper-level teacher, you join a strong and engaged teaching team where we work closely together, and we have a focus on onboarding new teachers well, among other things through a mentoring scheme.

With us, the upper level starts in 6th grade . You will become part of a year-group team that will follow the classes all the way to the final exams. You work closely together in the team, both on small tasks and the long-term plan. And all of this takes place in close collaboration with your pedagogical leader.

It is important to us that you focus on developing your professional skills while also contributing to the school's overall development. We are looking for a teacher who is reflective, attentive and capable of building good relationships with both children, parents and colleagues. We work in teams, and you should therefore have good collaboration skills and a desire to drive tasks and ideas forward and be able to think in terms of possibilities, even when it is difficult or new. We are happy to rethink our professionalism, but also value holding on to tradition.

We prioritize that you

• Have a strong passion for Danish in the upper level.
• Have 1 or 2 other subjects that you are just as enthusiastic to dive into.
• Have experience from the teaching sector and ideally have subject-specific training.
• Are reflective, attentive and able to create good relations with both children, parents and colleagues.
• Are clear in your classroom management.
• Focus on developing your professional skills and at the same time contribute to the school's overall development.
• Are an inspiring and motivated teacher in close relation with students and colleagues.
• Would gladly have experience with either LKT tasks or supplementary Danish teaching.

The school works with community-building classroom leadership. We are a strong team with many different competences – and a good mix of new and experienced staff. The school has in total 6 pedagogical leaders. This means we have leadership close to practice.

We have good opportunities for further education, coaching and mentoring for new colleagues, and there is room for new initiatives, ideas and projects. Our school day focuses on variation, traditions and experiences across the entire school – with both students and colleagues.

The school is located close to the scenic Ådalen, which we like to use for outdoor teaching. There is an S-train nearby and generally good infrastructure, so there are good conditions for commuters. Frederikssund is a growing municipality with a focus on good facilities for especially families with children.

About the position

Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. For teachers, this includes a teaching load cap of 780 hours per year.

The positions are for 37 hours per week and available from 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

If you are a newly qualified teacher, you will be assigned a mentor who will support you during the first school year.
