Danish teacher with a focus on participation opportunities and student involvement

Møllevangsskolen is seeking a teacher for teaching Danish, English, culture subjects and very preferably crafts and design

Maybe you can’t blow and have flour in your mouth at the same time or walk on water, but if you are a Danish- and culture-subject teacher and strong in relational and community-building work, you could be exactly the right person we are looking for.

Møllevang School is located in Rønnede and is part of the 5-Kløverskolerne, which consists of a total of 5 campuses in the eastern part of Faxe Municipality. At Møllevang we have 240 students from 0th to 9th grade and 35 staff members.

We are therefore a small school where there is a good basis for knowing both older and younger pupils—and for helping to create a community-building environment where exactly older and younger pupils know each other.

We focus on academic excellence, community and collaboration, as well as good dialogue with both each other and parents. We value diversity in our shared aim to create the best framework for all at the school. We are focused on curriculum renewal, learning environments, opportunities for participation, student involvement and community-building didactics.

We dream of employing you from 1 December as part of our team. Your timetable will include a shared class teacher role in 6th grade, Danish in 6th grade, culture subjects and English in 6th–9th grades, and very preferably crafts and design, but if you have Danish and other subject combinations, we encourage you to be curious about the position anyway.

Perhaps you are interested in Makerspace and the development of technological understanding as a natural part of the school’s daily life? We have ambitions to establish an exciting and experimental Makerspace with room for creativity and learning through action—and perhaps you would like to join this journey?

We expect you to continue with the 6th grade, for which you will be Danish- and class-teacher up to 9th grade, but you must be prepared to handle subjects from 1st–9th grade in your timetables going forward, as we are a relatively small school where we, in a collaborative effort, must have a subject distribution that works for the benefit of all students.

You are engaged in both your subjects and the school’s students and see collaboration as a strength. You are able to create lively teaching, with a focus on students’ opportunities to participate and their resources.

You will share the class-teacher duties with a colleague who knows the class well—and there are fixed team meetings on the calendar, as teamwork is highly valued by us. We focus on Professional Learning Communities, shared preparation and a meaningful working life.

Salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement.
