Danish teacher for 1st grade and reading guide/reading guide talent sought for Korup School Our Danish teacher in 1st grade, who has also been a reading guide, has sought new challenges. Therefore there is now an exciting opportunity for you who are passionate about children's reading and writing development and have ambitions to help develop the school's reading-related practice.

We are seeking a Danish teacher for 1A, who either is already trained as a reading guide or sees themselves as a future reading guide talent with the willingness and courage to begin the reading guide training. From day one you will participate in the reading guide tasks and work closely with the school's other resource persons to strengthen the students' reading development and support colleagues' work with reading.

About the position As a Danish teacher in 1A you will become a central adult in the students' daily life and have an important role in their continued reading-, writing- and language development. You will be part of a strong year group team, where teachers and pedagogues work closely together to create the best learning and participation opportunities for all children.

At the same time you will become part of the school's reading-related development through the reading guide function, which we see as an important key to support both students' and staff's professional development. At Korup School the reading guide participates weekly in 2 year groups, and fixed PLF meetings with the Danish teachers on the class teams you are attached to.

We are looking for a teacher who

• Has teaching competence in Danish and preferably experience from the early years
• Is passionate about children in the early school years and their reading-, writing- and language acquisition
• Either is trained as a reading guide or wishes to train as a reading guide – i.e. a reading guide talent.
• Wants to from the start of employment engage in reading guidance tasks
• Can guide and spar with colleagues about reading, literacy and didactic tools
• Works inclusively and appreciatively with focus on participation opportunities for all students
• Is strong in relationship-building and values close parent collaboration
• Thrives in professional learning communities and sees collaboration as a strength
• Wants to actively contribute to the school's continued development

Reading guide role with us As a reading guide or future reading guide you will among other things:

• Become part of the reading guide team at the school, which already consists of 2 skilled and competent guides
• Collaborate with colleagues on reading and writing instruction
• Contribute to the development of the school's reading effort and be an important part of the reading effort in Odense Municipality.
• Participate in analysis of reading data and national test results
• Collaboration with management, resource team and the school's other guides
