About us

The Emergency Management Agency's Center for Education educates about 1300 trainees each year and also provides emergency-related knowledge, experience and advisory services to municipalities, the police and other stakeholders within the emergency preparedness sector.

The Center for Education at the Emergency Management Agency is a central actor in the education of leaders and middle managers for the entire Danish emergency services. The education portfolio falls within municipal and state rescue services, the police, the health emergency preparedness and other authorities.

About the position

You will get an exciting job as a subject teacher, where your main tasks will be to contribute to ensuring high-quality education of leaders and instructors for the emergency services in Denmark.

• Your duties will include teaching and education, primarily on the team leader course and special courses within the fire domain
• Development and further development primarily of the courses in your primary course portfolio
• Possible participation in working groups in the longer term
• Possible tasks related to vocational education

The content of the position is also adjusted to your qualifications. In addition, the school offers opportunities for your personal competence development.

About you

We imagine that you have a relevant emergency preparedness professional education. Preferably at least a maintained team leader training. It is not crucial whether you have little or a lot of experience; we will prepare you for the task.

As an employee at the Emergency Management Agency's Center for Education, you possess a high degree of professionalism, as well as the ability to collaborate. Motivation and interest in teaching and developing courses are essential to your role.

Terms of employment

The employment is carried out in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Ministry of Taxation, the Agency for Employees and Competence, and the Central Organization of Teachers regarding the Armed Forces civilian teachers.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is an opportunity for negotiating allowances. There is an employer-financed pension scheme linked to the position.

The workplace is in Tinglev in Southern Denmark.

As an employee in the area under the Ministry of Civil Security and Emergency Preparedness you are subject to some special terms. You must, among other things, be security cleared and maintain the security clearance throughout the employment process.
