Børnehuset Engblomsten

Børnehuset Engblomsten has a unique location between Madsbyparken, the forest, the sports center, the lake, the stream and the football fields – all within walking distance.

We are much more than an ordinary day care institution. Our institution is designed with a focus on sustainability, pedagogical innovation and children’s well-being. The house is built up into four bases and accommodates children aged 0–6 years. Here, children can move safely in smaller child communities or venture into the heart of the house around the kitchen, called Andedammen. One base contains staff facilities and ample space for meetings and preparation.

We want our parents and cross-disciplinary partners to be a natural part of daily life, so there is room for informal and preventive dialogues. In time, the house can also be used as a cultural center.

Engblomsten is built around the six curriculum themes both inside and outside. The physical spaces reflect the pedagogy used in daily life, and there is a coherence between the outdoor and indoor spaces.

At Engblomsten we believe that every child is unique and deserves to be met with respect and care. Our skilled and engaged staff work every day to create a warm and inclusive atmosphere where play and learning go hand in hand. We emphasize strengthening children’s social, emotional and cognitive development through presence as well as exciting activities and projects.

Engblomsten opened in August 2025, and we are therefore still in the process of building our shared foundation. We see this as an exciting process. We believe that all employees have a special and active voice in everyday life, contributing to the whole.

Salary and terms of employment

In accordance with the current collective agreement between KL and the negotiating organization.

When employed, references will be requested.

Upon employment, a criminal record will be requested. The employment is conditional on the criminal record having no notes of significance for performing the specific job.

Child-related record

For employment containing work with children and young people, a child-related record will be requested. The employment is conditional on a child-related record without notes.
