Design Cykler seeks a system-oriented finance professional / financial controller for the head office in Odense

Would you like to help make the finance function in a growing bicycle chain sharper, faster and more digital? Do you love systems, automation and data that actually gets used? Then you may be our new finance employee / financial controller.

You will be a central part of a small finance team reporting to the Chief Financial Officer Emil Jensen, and you will have a role where you both handle daily tasks and help improve the way we work.

About Design Cykler

Design Cykler is a Danish bicycle chain with 13 stores, workshops and webshop and 110 employees. We are in a development phase where we strengthen webshop, workshop and store management – and where the finance function plays a central role with better reporting, budgets and a solid basis for decision-making.

Your tasks

You will have broad responsibility in daily operations and will simultaneously be a driving force in developing our systems and processes:

• Bookkeeping of supplier and customer items as well as ongoing reconciliations of bank, cash and intercompany accounts
• Reconciliation of payments from the webshop, card acquirers and payment solutions against sales in stores and online
• Inventory accounting and stock reconciliations in collaboration with stores and procurement
• Participation in monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Preparation of monthly reporting and follow-up on the budget
• Maintenance and development of ERP, cash register and webshop integrations
• Automation of manual processes, e.g. document scanning, bank reconciliation and approval flows
• Building and maintaining reports and dashboards, e.g. in Power BI
• Ad hoc tasks and projects in collaboration with the CFO

Your profile

We imagine that you

• Have a minimum of 2–5 years of experience with bookkeeping, finance or controlling, preferably from retail, e-commerce or a chain structure
• Have a financial education or aspirations to start one
• Are strong in systems and have experience with a modern ERP system, e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, e-conomic or similar
• Have a sharp eye for automation and digital solutions and preferably familiarity with integrations, Power BI or similar
• Are excellent at Excel and have a flair for numbers and analysis
• Work in a structured, autonomous manner and with high quality
• Are curious, solution-oriented and not afraid to challenge the way things are done today

We place more emphasis on your system understanding and willingness to improve processes than on the number of years of experience.
