Finance consultant to Frederikssund Municipality with a focus on the revenue side

In Frederikssund Municipality we are seeking an economic consultant who will help ensure an overview of the municipality's primary revenue sources, which consist of taxes, grants and equalization.

Experience with the tax and grants area would be an advantage but not a condition. The most important is that you are eager to learn, curious and enjoy economic analyses and complex problems.

About the position

As an economic consultant with a focus on the revenue side you will be responsible for ensuring an ongoing overview of the municipality's revenues, which primarily come from taxes, grants and equalization. A task that is especially relevant in the annual work with the budget for the coming year, where it is crucial to have an overview of the expected revenues. An overview the municipality mainly ensures through the Association of Local Government Authorities (KL) grant model and collaboration with central employees in KL. If necessary other parties are involved.

The work with the municipalities' revenue side is especially interesting in connection with the reform of the financial equalization scheme between the country’s municipalities. A task that involves KL, the individual municipalities and a number of central ministries. You will thus be involved in the work. The reform is expected to take effect from 2029.

In addition to the work with the municipality's revenues from taxes, grants and equalization the position includes tasks within

• The municipality's guarantee commitments – including guarantee provisions
• The municipality's financial cooperation with Vestforbrænding
• The ongoing financial follow-up in the Finance Committee's area

The position includes tasks of specialized and complex character, which at times will require a substantial workload from you. Fortunately there are good colleagues who can support you as needed for the various tasks.

The position is located in the municipality's Budget Department, which is part of Budget and Procurement with a total of 13 employees and a manager. We have a strong professional and collegial community where we help each other, share knowledge and like to think outside the box. With us you get a high degree of freedom to plan your work, while there is help available from both colleagues and the manager.

Salary and employment terms

The position is 37 hours per week with start as soon as possible.

Salary and employment are in accordance with the collective agreement, with the possibility to negotiate any allowances corresponding to your qualifications. There is also the possibility of appointment as a special consultant.

In Frederikssund Municipality we offer flexible working hours – including the possibility of remote work.

Workplace is Torvet 2, 3600 Frederikssund, only a 10-minute walk from the S-train station. There is a canteen arrangement.
