Disability helper (25-30 hours) wanted from November 1 for a woman in Voel

Do you want a meaningful job where presence, good relationships and close collaboration are a natural part of everyday life?

I am a 51-year-old woman with multiple sclerosis who, on 1 November, is moving to Voel. I need an assistant in my team and can offer a permanent position of 25-30 hours.

My previous assistants have been with me for a long time, and several have described the job as both meaningful, cozy, and characterized by a good and informal atmosphere. When you work closely together, the relationship matters a lot, and I emphasize a cooperation with room for both respect, care and the small laughter that makes everyday life easier.

Who am I?

I am a curious and life-loving woman with an interest in art, culture and society. I enjoy good conversations, time with family and friends and following the world around me.

Multiple sclerosis imposes some physical limitations, but it has not taken my zest for life. I take things seriously when necessary, but I also believe that warmth, humor and a positive outlook on life make even the difficult days easier.

Therefore I am looking for caregivers who see value in both the practical and the human in the work.

About the job

There are two day shifts, typically from 7:00 to 17:00 on weekdays and also on weekends/holidays, as well as at least one fixed evening shift per week from 17:00 to 22:00 .

As my caregiver you will, among other things

• Help with personal care
• Assist with practical tasks in the home
• Attend activities and visits with family and friends
• Be a present support in an everyday life with both calm and active days

Shift plan and collaboration

The shift plan is set jointly for two months at a time.

I know that people have different lives with family, hobbies and other commitments outside of work. Therefore I attach great importance to being flexible regarding planning of shifts and working hours when possible. In return, I also expect a certain flexibility from my caregivers when the need arises.

My experience is that the best collaborations arise when there is mutual respect, trust and understanding for each other's everyday life. Precisely for that reason I have over the years had several long and good collaborations with my caregivers.

Who am I seeking?

Experience as a disability caregiver is an advantage but not a requirement. The most important thing is that we fit well as people.

• Have a driver's license (category B)
• Are responsible and stable
