Disability support workers wanted for 24-hour shifts with rapid training and employment.

I am a 47-year-old man, have muscular dystrophy, sit in an electric wheelchair and use (Astral) respirator.

The job with me involves personal care and practical help.

When I sit in my wheelchair, I am quite self-reliant, and can use my computer/phone, control my electronic devices, read, write and work. I live in my own apartment in Farum, a one-minute walk from Farum station. There is an assistant's room with a bed, desk and internet.

I am a lively person with many interests. In my free time I read, take care of my plants, practice meditation, go to cafés, to the cinema, to courses and lectures, as well as to socialise with family and friends. I enjoy cooking.

Training will take place with me, followed by a respiratory course at RCØ, before you take on independent shifts with me.

My shifts run from 07 to 07, and my expectations for my future helper are

• You must be able to speak Danish or English
• You must be responsible, flexible and reliable.
• Be in good physical shape.
• Must be able to step in at short notice in case of illness.
• Must have a category B driving license and be a good driver.
• Be discreet with good situational awareness
• Presentable, tidy and domestic.
