At Demstrup Autotransport – Preben Hansen ApS we are seeking an administrative dispatcher who can create overview, keep many balls in the air and be an important link between drivers, machines, materials and customers.

About the position

As an administrative dispatcher you will have a central and visible role in daily operations. You will help ensure that asphalt and machines are delivered efficiently and on time to our major customer, and you will have a daily routine where planning, coordination and practical problem solving go hand in hand.

The position has a permanent base with our customer in Kongensbro combined with tasks at our head office in Demstrup, where you will, among other things, work with administrative tasks related to invoicing. Therefore it is necessary at minimum you have a driving license for a car and can transport yourself between workplaces.

The workday typically starts around 05:00 with inbound and outbound weighing of trucks delivering asphalt. In busy periods the tempo is high, while at other times there is more time to organize, follow up and plan the next day. Working hours can vary, and there may be both long and short days depending on activity. Evening and night work may also occur, but planned in advance and shared with a colleague. Therefore we are seeking a flexible person who thrives with freedom under responsibility.

Since the primary workplace is with the customer, it is important that you can work independently, stay calm in a busy everyday life and communicate professionally – even when there are many inputs around you.

The primary tasks will be

• Receive, plan and coordinate delivery of asphalt for road maintenance and -construction
• Dispatch and control of internal and external machine transport
• In- and out-weighing of trucks at asphalt plants
• Ordering materials in the right time and quantity
• Close collaboration with drivers, contract managers, foremen and colleagues
• Ongoing follow-up to ensure compliance with timelines and quality

We imagine that you

· Have experience with dispatching, logistics or transport planning – preferably from the contractor industry or a similar role

• Have a flair for IT and can work with logistics systems and weighing programs
• Are structured, solution-oriented and good at maintaining an overview
• Communicate clearly and thrive with many points of contact

· Have knowledge of asphalt, construction machinery or building materials – that weighs positively, but the most important is that you are eager to take responsibility and learn our daily work
