About the job With us you become part of a daily routine where we try to be slow and focus on play.

We work with small groups, presence and good sense of community. We follow the children's curiosity and give room for play, immersion and the small moments that sometimes become the day's greatest experience.

You will be close to the children and an important part of their daily life. Some days we go on trips, other days we build dens, find small animals under a stone or immerse ourselves in a game that no one quite knows where it will end.

And yes – we are out in all kinds of weather. So come as your whole self – and your rubber boots. Because the equipment must be in order when you work at Smedebakken. 😉

About you Maybe you are new to the profession. Maybe you have experience from a completely different place. The most important for us is not that you can do everything.

About Børnehuset Smedebakken Smedebakken is a kindergarten house with around 80 children and a group of staff who every day do their best to create a safe, present, and developmental daily life for the children.

We believe that people are the foundation. Therefore the relationships between children and adults – and between us adults – matter a lot.

We practice together. We are not perfect. We make mistakes, learn and try again. And we believe the best solutions come when we use both heart and brain.
