About the job

Ref-id: 3043

Employment type: Full-time

Location: Copenhagen S, DK, 2450

Department: Liability, People

Gjensidige has its roots in Norway and a history dating back to 1816. Today we are a leading Nordic insurance company with around 4,600 employees in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Together we secure life, health and values, and we go to work to be there when it matters – for our customers, for each other and for society.

If you have experience with the legal world and want to make a difference for our customers, the job as claims handler in our fantastic legal aid team might be for you.

In the role you will have the opportunity to work with a unique insight into a wide variety of cases in the court system. We follow the cases from the dispute arises until the cases are finished at the courts. It is therefore a great advantage if you have some experience with how lawsuits progress, and if you understand legal terminology.

The team handles a large number of different cases, and it is therefore important that you can span broadly and quickly get into new problems. It is also important that you can prioritize, be pragmatic and can work efficiently at a high pace. In the role you will gain a good understanding of the legal world and you can see every day where you have made a difference.

The tasks span a broad range but are centered on claims handling from start to finish. You will take responsibility for delivering in accordance with your own and the department's goals.

Our main goal is high customer satisfaction, and that we keep our promises to customers. We are often the first point of contact for our customers with legal challenges and take pride in helping them move forward as best as possible. It is therefore important that you want to give our customers a good experience when they need our help. Our primary point of contact, however, are the lawyers who handle the cases for our customers.

We have a busy daily life with many challenges and opportunities, and we give open and honest feedback to one another. As part of a larger company we are constantly evolving and are not afraid to try new initiatives, hear new ideas and take chances, just as AI is a part of our daily life.

You will get exciting legal work in a company in rapid development, with a good work-life balance, good working conditions, a really good atmosphere and with plenty of opportunities to make a difference for our customers so they feel that the trust is mutual.

We imagine that you;

  • Know legal terminology and have knowledge of the court system
  • Are action-oriented
  • Maybe have experience as a legal secretary or be in an office elsewhere in the legal system, be a claims handler in a legal aid department or are a newly graduated jurist
  • Maybe you are insurance-trained and have legal understanding or experience
  • Maybe you have a profile that we haven’t thought of
  • You are in good spirits, flexible, can work efficiently and tackle the tasks independently
  • You are engaged, helpful, a team player and bring energy to the department
  • You can use the language correctly and modernly and can speak with lawyers and customers in a approachable and welcoming manner
  • You work in a structured way and enjoy making decisions
  • You will therefore both work independently, while also helping to shape daily life and development in the team. We believe that engaged and motivated employees are the path to extraordinary customer experiences.
