What will you be doing?

The position combines hours in the school with hours in the SFO. In the school part you will among other things be an important adult around children who need extra support, structure or help finding their place in the teaching and the community. In the SFO you have the opportunity to help create a good afternoon where play, movement, creativity, relationships and the children's own initiatives have room.

Your workday will therefore not necessarily resemble the previous one. And we actually see that as one of the qualities of the job.

If you have something particular you are passionate about? It could be outdoor life, movement, creativity, music, gaming, workshop, nature, sport, special pedagogical methods – or something else. Our view of children must make sense to you

Our vision is: “We develop the potential for a good life.” We start from the premise that children do their best. Therefore we meet them with curiosity, care and clarity rather than scolding. For us learning, well-being and community go hand in hand. Children need adults who dare to take responsibility, set boundaries and at the same time be curious about what lies behind the child's actions.

You do not need to have all the answers. But you must want to be curious together with us.

Who do we imagine you are?

We would rather have the right colleague than the perfect list of qualifications. Therefore the list is short. The most important thing is that you:

• are a trained pedagogical professional
• want to work with children in both school and SFO
• can create safe and clear relationships
• have an eye for both the individual child and the community
• want to collaborate and develop your practice together with others.

We would much rather talk about the rest with you. If you have many years of experience, that is interesting. If you are relatively new to the field and come with new perspectives and a desire to learn, it is at least as interesting.

Who are we?

Randlev Free School and Children’s House lies in the green between Odder and Hou, about 30 minutes' drive from Aarhus, Skanderborg and Horsens. We are a free school with 110 students in grades 0-9 and a kindergarten with around 40 children.

This means that we are small enough for people to be seen, and large enough to have different professionalities, colleagues to spar with and opportunities for development. Here children and adults know each other, and the collaboration goes across school, SFO and kindergarten.

The practical details

The position is 32-34 hours per week with start on January 4, 2027. You must have sent your application no later than October 18, 2026 at 23:59. We expect to call for a more detailed conversation on October 21, 2026 from 14:00.
