About the job

As a medical secretary/SAK with us you will have a central role in the patient pathway, a close multidisciplinary collaboration and opportunity to develop professionally.

Are you trained medical secretary or health administrative coordinator, and are you motivated by coordinating patient pathways in close collaboration with doctors, nurses and other professional groups?

Do you also want professional development and perhaps interest in the Health Platform (Sundhedsplatformen), guidance of SAK students or other development tasks, there is an opportunity to bring your competencies and interests into play with us.

Then you may be one of two new colleagues in the Department of Blood Diseases.

Your new everyday life

In our outpatient clinic for patients with blood cancer you will become part of a secretary team consisting of 11 secretaries and a professional coordinator.

You will be responsible for your own patient pathways and will be attached to fixed doctors. You follow the patients through their course and are an important partner in the multidisciplinary coordination.

In addition you join a shared function role, where we help each other with the department's various secretarial functions and collectively contribute to a stable and well-functioning operation.

Your tasks

  • Coordination, planning and booking of patient pathways
  • Interdisciplinary coordination with doctors, nurses and other partners
  • Documentation in the Health Platform
  • Telephone service and patient contact
  • Administrative and health administrative tasks
  • Participation in the department's shared secretarial functions

For us the secretaries are an important part of the overall patient treatment and actively contribute to quality, coherence and patient safety.

A strong secretary community

We prioritize both professional and well-being and emphasize that we help each other, share our knowledge and take joint responsibility for the tasks.

We continuously work with our workflows and task distribution and focus on psychological safety, feedback, learning and a good collegial community. There should be room for professional sparring, new ideas and different perspectives.

We ensure high quality and knowledge sharing through

  • A well-functioning SP key person group with a clinical medical secretary specialist
  • Professional coordinators focusing on patient pathways, professional sparring and close multidisciplinary collaboration
  • Ongoing SP training as well as implementation and development of new workflows
  • Secretary meetings, multidisciplinary conferences and participation in relevant working groups

We invest in your development

We offer a structured onboarding program, thorough training and ongoing professional sparring. You will also have the opportunity to develop professionally and participate in relevant development tasks and projects.

If you have particular interest in the Health Platform or in guidance and training of upcoming health administrative coordinators, there will, depending on your competencies and interests, be an opportunity to participate as SP key person and/or SAK mentor.

We are also open to other competencies and professional interests you bring with you, that can contribute to developing our secretarial professional area.

We imagine that you

  • Are trained medical secretary or health administrative coordinator
  • Have experience from the hospital sector, preferably from an outpatient specialty, and preferably knowledge of the Health Platform
  • Work structured and have an eye for coherent patient pathways
  • Are flexible and thrive in a close multidisciplinary collaboration
  • Have a positive approach to change and development
  • Contribute actively to a good collegial community
  • Want to share your knowledge and contribute to training and development in the team
