About the job

One of our very valued colleagues has moved to Jutland – so now we are looking for a new, skilled colleague for our cataract team as of January 1 or February 1, 2027, working hours 37 hours in the period between 7:30-15:30.

Are you the type who loves to make the pieces fit, create overview in both complex patient pathways but also many standard pathways and to have good colleagues around you, with room for both professional sparring and a laugh in everyday life? Then read on.

With us you become part of a strong secretary team of 9, where we pull together, help each other and know that a good workday requires structure, collaboration – and a good amount of humor.

Our tasks are broadly distributed between front function and back office. In the front function we handle booking of patients for operations as well as other reception tasks. In the back office we deal with triage, sending patient invitations and telephone reception. It is to the back office we are looking for a new colleague. The remaining tasks in the Healthcare Platform we solve collectively.

Interdisciplinarity is important for a good patient journey, which is why we collaborate across professional boundaries. Therefore we are close with doctors, optometrists, nurses and social and medical staff in the department.

Who are we?

The cataract team treats patients with unclear lens in the eye. The most common cause is aging, which is why the vast majority of our patients are elderly. The treatment is surgery and most leave here with a smile on their faces. It is usually short, but many pathways. We operate about 15,000 patients annually and see as many in our outpatient clinic.

A couple of sentences from 2 colleagues

Winnie: I really love my place, which is in the operation booking, the daily contact with patients when they arrive at the department and need to book appointments and much more. No day is the same… it suits me perfectly.

The opportunity to consult with all professional groups all day is great… no questions are too small… you can really elevate your professional skills if you want to.

Laughing is a must and a DNA in the department and we do it daily, both with colleagues in the team and with the patients in the booking.

Bente: I am so happy with my work back office. The atmosphere is straightforward in a good and positive way. We help each other, so the day becomes good for everyone. We are busy, but that’s okay when you’re in good company.

Who are you?

You are trained medical secretary or health administrative coordinator and

  • Have a handle on detail – and the overview
  • Thrive in a daily life where plans can change (and they do)
  • Can stay calm, even when the phone rings a little extra (and it does) we have about 100 calls per day to our team
  • Contribute with good humor and team spirit
  • Work independently and take responsibility
  • Be reliable and engaged in your work
  • Have experience with the Healthcare Platform (or be ready to learn it)

Your tasks

You will become an important part of the daily operation in the team, including

  • Coordination and planning of patient pathways
  • Visitation of referrals
  • Booking and calendar management
  • Telephone reception (we share the calls – you are not alone)
  • Registration and quality assurance in the Healthcare Platform
  • Reception duties

In short: you help things run smoothly – for both patients and colleagues.

We offer

  • A team where we are both professionally skilled and pleasant to be with
  • Thorough training (we do not expect you to know everything from day one)
  • Opportunity for development and new tasks
  • A daily life with pace, variation and plenty of collaboration
  • An workplace where it is perfectly okay to laugh during the day
  • Possibility to take on special tasks e.g. SAK advisor
