Are you two who would like to share a weekend position?

Ballerup parish is looking for one or two engaged individuals for a flexible position of 16 hours per week, primarily on weekends.

Are you two who would like to share a position? Then you have the opportunity to work every other weekend in our two churches and parish house. The position can also be applied for by one person who wishes to take on the 16 hours per week.

We are looking for you who like to take responsibility, have a sense of order, and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves. You will become an important part of everyday life in our parish, where the tasks range from cleaning and practical tasks to assistance at services and events.

What will you do?

A large part of the job consists of cleaning and practical tasks. Therefore it is important that you have an eye for detail and like things to be clean, neat, and in their place.

Your tasks will include, among other things

· cleaning of our premises

· &; preparation and tidying after services and events

· shopping, as well as arranging and serving at events

· moving tables and chairs

· opening and locking of the churches

· practical assistance at services, weddings, funerals, concerts and other events.

There can also be tasks late in the afternoon and in the evening, so it is an advantage if you are flexible regarding working hours.

Who are you?

The position may suit a student well, but we would like to hear from anyone who is interested in a position where you:

· work independently and take responsibility

· have a sense of order and initiative

· have a practical touch and not be afraid of cleaning

· can stay calm / keep an overview when it is busy

· meet people in a friendly and welcoming manner

· can work with priests, colleagues and the parish council

· are flexible and can work on weekends and on certain holidays.

You do not need to be a trained church sexton. We provide the necessary training. You must be prepared to complete the mandatory 5-week training as a sexton within the first two years of employment.

For the right candidate there will also be the possibility of on-call shifts on other days if needed and you want more hours.

A different kind of position

As a sexton you help to make everyday life and the many activities in our two churches and parish house function. You will meet many different people and be part of both services, church rites and events.

Work is expected in the evenings, weekends and holidays including Christmas and Easter.

If you are two people applying together, we naturally expect that you can coordinate and take joint responsibility for ensuring the tasks are completed.

Employment

Starting date as soon as possible.

The employment is covered by the Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organizations (OAO-S) and the organizational agreement for church officials with core duties as sexton or gravedigger, concluded between the Ministry of Ecclesiastical Affairs and the Danish Sexton Association and the accompanying protocol for sextons. The agreements can be viewed at Folkekirkens Intranet.

Current civil servant sextons have the right to retain their civil servant status when employed with a direct transition. In that case, the position must be classified.

The annual salary is agreed within the range of DKK 324,667 – 408,841 (current kroner).

There is no availability commitment for the position.

Annual collective agreement allowance of DKK 1,401.

Salary and OK allowance are pro-rated according to the position's employment fraction.

The position has a 3-month probationary period.

References, criminal record, and child suitability certificate will be obtained in connection with the employment.
