About the job

Part-time position of about 10 hours per week in Sønderborg Municipality

We are seeking a warm, present, and engaged employee who wants to become an important part of the everyday life of a lovely 11-year-old boy with cerebral palsy.

As an employee at Handicapkonsulenterne, your main task will be to give the boy good and safe moments – and at the same time give the family the relief they need.

This is a job for you who love children, would like to use your professional skills in a more personal setting, and are motivated to make a concrete difference for a child and his family.

What does the job entail?

You will be part of a help team around the boy and work in the family's private home. The work includes, among other things, being with him, creating safe environments and supporting him in daily life.

You work closely with the family, who will naturally provide thorough training so you feel confident in the task. You are therefore not alone with the responsibility from day one.

The position is for about 10 hours per week ; the hours are essentially every Monday and Thursday from 16:30-21:30 . However, there will be a possibility to swap to Tuesday or weekend by agreement.

There may also be opportunities for extra hours due to illness and holidays in the helper team, as well as some weekends, if you wish and are able to do so.

Who are we looking for?

We imagine that you

  • are health-care educated or have relevant experience
  • are keen to work with children and people with disabilities
  • are caring, patient, and present
  • are responsible and comfortable working in a private home
  • are proactive and eager to learn
  • are flexible and can join a team around the child

You do not necessarily need to be health-care educated. If you have relevant experience from the disability sector, pedagogical work, or work with children, we would love to hear from you.

What you get with us

You will have the opportunity for a meaningful part-time job, where the relationship with a child is at the center.

You will become part of a team around the boy and the family, and you will receive thorough training before you take on the task independently.

This is also a position that can suit you if you are looking for fixed, manageable hours alongside studies, another job, or other commitments.

Start: November 1 – preferably with training beforehand.
