Are you passionate about leisure-time pedagogy, children's well-being, and strong communities?

We are looking for an engaged educator who wants to help create good opportunities for all children to participate, both in lessons and in the after-school program (SFO).

We are looking for you who has an eye for the individual child while working purposefully to develop inclusive communities. You see social didactics and well-being initiatives as a natural part of the school's daily life and can translate your pedagogical expertise into concrete actions that strengthen children's well-being, relationships, and participation.

You will become part of our general SFO and will serve as an educational resource in teaching in close collaboration with teachers and other colleagues.

We are looking for someone who is

• Trained as an educator and passionate about leisure-time pedagogy and working with children in the general area.
• Strong in relationship-building and meets children with an acknowledging, patient, and persistent approach.
• Having a professional interest in social didactics, inclusive learning environments, and systematic well-being work.
• Able to work independently while actively contributing to a committed team collaboration.
• Clear in your communication and able to create calm, structure, and direction, even when everyday life is complex.
• Having an overview, being adaptable, and maintaining curiosity when something doesn’t succeed at first.
• Contribute positively to collaboration with children, parents, and colleagues and share responsibility for well-being and job satisfaction.
• Focused on professional reflection and sees collaboration with other professionals as a prerequisite for success with the core tasks.

Help shape a new SFO

We are facing a merger of two SFOs and therefore have an exciting opportunity to create a new shared SFO culture. We want an SFO with a clear leisure-time pedagogical orientation, where play, relationships, creativity, and community are the driving elements.

About Bjerringbro School

Bjerringbro School is a school from 0th to 9th grade with about 700 pupils in the general division spread across two campuses. In addition, we have a special department with about 40 pupils and an ASF department with about 90 pupils.

We work based on Viborg Municipality's Basis for children's learning and view collaboration in professional learning communities as essential for the children's learning and well-being. We expect you to take co-responsibility for the pedagogical development and actively contribute to shared solutions.

Salary and employment terms

Salary is set on the basis of the applicable collective agreement and a concrete assessment of your education, your documented work experience, and your professional and personal qualifications. Before employment and the conclusion of the salary agreement, you have the opportunity to receive information about the starting salary for the specific position. Viborg Municipality uses objective and gender-neutral criteria for salary determination in accordance with the rules on equal pay for the same work or work of equal value, and in accordance with the relevant collective agreement.
