Educator for HabitusHuset Bøgelund near Jelling. Make a difference you can feel!

What if your work every day could help move a young person’s life?

At HabitusHuset Bøgelund we are looking for educators who want to create development, quality of life and hope. Especially when the path there requires patience, presence and strong relationships.

With us you don’t just get a job as an educator. You get the opportunity to make a real difference for young people, while becoming part of a strong professional community.

A job with meaning and people at the center

At Bøgelund, 27 young people between 15 and 30 live with various special needs and disabilities. Your most important task is to be a safe and clear adult who can see the possibilities behind what may be difficult.

You become an important part of the youths’ everyday life and help to

• create structure, safety and predictability
• build strong and trusting relationships
• support development, mastery and self-determination
• create meaningful activities and communities
• work purposefully with development plans and documentation
• collaborate with relatives, municipalities and other professionals

We work with mentalization and an affirming approach. We are curious about what lies behind behavior, feelings and reactions , and we believe that people do the best they can with the prerequisites they have.

You are never alone

Pedagogy can be complex. Therefore we prioritise that you have someone to bounce ideas off.

You get regular supervision, professional sparring, thorough introduction and ongoing competence development . We help each other to stay calm, maintain overview and professionalism – even when everyday life becomes challenging.

At the same time you get a workplace with attentive leadership, high professionalism, humor and room to bring your own ideas and strengths into play.

We are looking for you who

• are a trained educator and passionate about relationship work
• meet people with respect, curiosity and warmth
• can create clarity and structure without losing flexibility
• can stay calm when situations become complex
• are keen to reflect on your own and our joint practice
• actively contribute to a good collegial community

You don’t need to know everything in advance. Experience with autism, developmental disorders or other disabilities is an advantage, but not a requirement. The most important thing is your approach to people and your desire to develop professionally.

What you get with us

• A strong professional and collegial community
• Regular supervision and professional sparring
• Thorough introduction and support at the start
• Good opportunities for competence development
• Health insurance
• Influence on the pedagogical practice
• Attentive leadership and room for your ideas
