Educator for nature kindergarten in Skamby

Børnehuset Skamby is seeking an educator for 35 hours per week with a start date of February 1, 2027.

Børnehuset is a nature kindergarten located in the Glavendrup district and is normed for 40 kindergarten children.

The nature kindergarten has a bright and nice house as well as a large and inviting outdoor area with its own forest, a bonfire hut, a herb garden and a fruit garden with plenty of nature's berries and fruits.

Many days the children are already outside from morning, where they are offered educational nature and environmental activities. We emphasize that the children experience and explore nature all year round. The house has for several years held The Green Flag from the Danish Outdoor Council.

Outdoor life is supported by an engaged staff group, where, among other things, there is an employee with a nature guide qualification.

With only 40 children, we are a small nature kindergarten where everyone knows each other. The staff have a close knowledge of all the children, and the children experience secure relationships with all adults. This also provides a basis for close cooperation with the parents, who meet a staff that knows both the child and the family well.

Our shared view of children

We work based on the municipality of Nordfyn's shared view of children, which supports the pedagogical practice:

”The individual child has opinions and thoughts that are meaningful. The child has the potential to think and the desire to communicate with and understand their surroundings. The child is independent, co-creative and a competent actor in their own life, who should develop and unfold themselves in community and with others.”

It is important that you can commit to our shared view of children, as everyone in the staff group must contribute and take responsibility for ensuring that the view of children is visible and taken seriously in the pedagogical work.

The kindergarten is in an exciting development, where the staff together are implementing new processes and creating new, exciting learning environments in nature with a focus on participation opportunities for all children.

Most of the staff have taken courses in the neuroaffective approach, which will in the future support our core task. As a new educator in the kindergarten, you will also be offered these courses in 2027.

We work with positioning throughout the day, and we want an educator who takes professional responsibility and is willing to reflect on both their own and others' practice in an open and trusting dialogue. You must dare to question the existing, if other approaches make more sense and create better development opportunities for the child.

We are therefore looking for a qualified educator who

• has an appreciative approach and can accommodate children's feelings
• wishes to and is able to establish learning environments both outdoors and indoors
• can and dares to be a caravan leader and create coherence between the learning environment and the children's well-being, development and learning
• is good at parent collaboration and understands how to listen, involve and meet parents with an appreciative approach
• wants to and sees it as important to keep up with new knowledge that can contribute to the development of pedagogical practice
• can work structurally and with positioning
• dare to reflect on and articulate their own and others' practice
• can handle the written work and finds value in working systematically with planning of didactic learning processes in the pedagogical practice
• can contribute with humor and good spirits

Interviews are expected to take place at Glavendrupskolen, Nordmark department, Ullerupvænget 10, 5471 Søndersø, with participation from the district's strategic day care leader.

Salary and employment conditions according to the applicable collective agreement between KL and the negotiating organization.

Expected salary range will be provided at the first interview. The final salary is determined based on your qualifications and past work experience and after concrete negotiations with the professional organization.

Criminal record and child protection checks will be obtained before employment can take place.
