Educators for Junglebo Nursery for Infants in Østerbro

Do you want to help make a positive difference for the children at Junglebo, where presence, care and play are highly valued? Are you into full-throttle Friday disco, quiet moments in the library and lots of heartwarming warmth? Then you might be the one we are looking for.

In Junglebo we have 72 wonderful children distributed across six rooms. We have three lovely playgrounds with many different play zones. In addition to the rooms, we have spaces that are used on a rotating basis as needed, e.g., a common room, creative workshop and tumble room.

There are four adults in each room at Junglebo, and there are at least two trained pedagogues in each room. In addition, we have two employees who are trained pedagogical assistants and two employees who are well on their way to becoming pedagogues on merit. So we have a wonderfully high professional environment.

What we expect from you

We expect that you are professionally grounded and focused on the children9s development and well-being. You may be an experienced pedagogue, but if you are newly qualified, you are also welcome. With us you become part of a work community where we are committed to our efforts and work making a positive difference for the children. This means that we give and receive feedback and sparring and engage professionally in each other9s practice.

Therefore you must have the skills and willingness to actively participate in the collaboration with colleagues and management to develop the pedagogical practice and quality in Junglebo. You must help plan the children9s everyday life so that they meet their intentions. We also expect you to see the parents as a resource and to enter into close collaboration with them about their child9s development, well-being, learning and formation.

What you can expect from us

• In Junglebo we place great emphasis on both activities and daily routines being important so that all children have active and meaningful participation opportunities
• We take play seriously because we know how important it is to have fun so that both young and old people can thrive and develop
• Safety is also important, so we give an encouraging smile, a hug and a warm hand to hold when a child has to master something new
• We like being with the children and with each other
• Knowledge, data and research inspire and inform us, and we know that it is our reflections, presence and knowledge of the children that make a difference
• There is time set aside to plan, reflect and spar so that we can be present and caring when we are with the children
