The work consists of

The STU-PUK-104 will start with a new student in February 2027, which means we need a new colleague who is passionate about making a difference for young people with reduced physical and mental functioning.

All residents in PUK-104 require close and present contact as well as a predictable daily life. The students have different forms of physical challenges and they have a large need for support to make their everyday life hang together as well as possible. The students in PUK-104 have various challenges such as epilepsy, comorbidity, self-harming and outwardly reacting behavior, etc., and at times require shielding.

PUK-104 works with total communication where all available forms of communication will be used; verbally, auditorily, visually, body language, TTT, concrete objects or via aids.

It is important that a safe and structured environment is created, where great emphasis is placed on the students' individual needs and limitations.

The goal is to be able to recognize and respond to the students' expressions, to take care of the emotional and meaning aspects that are thought to underlie the students' diverse expressions.

Crucial is that we constantly expand and improve the communication and interaction – and our values of respect, time, empathy and joy are at play when it succeeds.

We work with sensory integration, where we will have the senses work together and process impressions, from the body's senses and movements to a whole. Nature is also a large part of everyday life in STU-PUK-104; here we also work with senses. We cook over an open fire, touch different elements from nature, go to the water, etc.

All PUK-104 residents have a contact person who plays an important role in connection with the student's education. We work based on the individual student's STU framework and hold ongoing follow-up conversations where the framework is adjusted so that there can be a development of the student.

• You have experience with visualization and good communication skills
• You are good at working in a structured way
• You are good at collaborating
• You enjoy being outdoors in nature
• You are willing to receive and give collegial guidance and sparring regarding your own and others' pedagogical work
• You are prepared to be a contact person and be good at documentation
• You are positive and have a sense of humor
• You are present, empathetic and ethically grounded
• You have overview and a calm temperament
• You are interested and curious about new knowledge
• You are ready to help the students with personal care such as diaper changes, etc.

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement entered into between SL and KL including pension.
