About the job

Do you crave professionalism, warmth of heart and room to be perfectly imperfect?

Then come and visit us - but beware, you might not want to go home again 😊

Pädagog/PAU • 37 hours • Nursery or Kindergarten • Permanent employment or Maternity leave replacement • Lindegården Child House, Albertslund • Start as soon as possible and no later than January 1, 2027

Albertslund is a green municipality with big ambitions. We are proud of our municipality, and we go the extra mile in our tasks and efforts for the citizens, associations and businesses. We are one municipality and one organisation. We have engaged and skilled staff as well as a collaborative culture that crosses departments and levels. That makes Albertslund Municipality a good place to work.

At Lindegården Child House, we believe that all children do their best, that problematic behavior is the child’s best cue, and that it is our responsibility as adults to adjust ourselves, the structure or the physical surroundings when something is challenging. We create loving and competent developmental conditions for children and families who may not have been dealt the best cards.

We are a diverse and warm house with 100 lovely children and families from different cultural, socioeconomic and socio-emotional backgrounds, who are passionate about creating a close and heart-warming everyday life where everyone experiences being valuable, capable beings who belong and contribute to the community. We aim to slow down everyday life, because we believe that calm nervous systems and present, attuned interactions are a prerequisite for all well-being and development.

We stand up and work from the following core foundation

  • We believe there is a positive intention behind every behavior
  • We build the road as we go - and are not afraid to change course
  • We dare to show that we are perfectly imperfect
  • We see ourselves as our own most important working tool - and dare to use ourselves
  • We all do our best given the conditions we have
  • We believe that we are interconnected, obliged and influence each other
  • We believe there are as many truths as there are people
  • We dare to do something different if what we do doesn’t work.

We continuously develop our everyday practice and work purposefully with NEST, relationship and attachment psychology, differentiated sizes of child groups, expanded parental collaboration and a resource-oriented view of children, and in addition to the general effort:

  • 4 designated placements for children and parents needing extra support (distributed across the rooms).
  • 12 designated placements for children and families with socio-emotional difficulties (distributed across the rooms).
  • A baby group for mothers who do not join general mother groups (every Tuesday morning).
  • AIF Gymnastics group for the house’s oldest children (every Tuesday afternoon).
  • Parent coffee with socializing, activities and practice guidance for parents (every Wednesday afternoon).
  • Home visits prior to start with the lead pedagogue and the family’s health visitor.
  • Daily practice-oriented support, guidance and sparring from the house’s three family pedagogues.

Your main tasks

  • To be present and emotionally regulating in interaction with the children.
  • To plan, structure and create a visually predictable and recognizable everyday life.
  • To actively contribute to parental collaboration with, among other things, practice guidance in daily life.
  • To participate in cross-disciplinary collaboration, sparring, parental conversations and development work.
  • To ensure the child’s progression through written documentation and action plans.
  • To identify and support children and families with particular needs for permanent or temporary support.
  • To be a positive, considerate, curious and caring colleague.

We offer you

  • Increased staffing levels and time for deeper relationship work.
  • Lots of square meters per child (inside and outside) and different sizes of child groups.
  • A strong professional environment with sparring, debriefing and professional presentations.
  • Psychological safety, humor and warmth in daily life.
  • Close collaboration with the three family pedagogues and the practice community (PPR).
  • Time for planning, organizing and immersion.
  • A leadership that believes in you and supports your professional and personal development.
  • A house where heart, quality and community go hand in hand.

You could very well be our new colleague if you

  • Are educated as a pedagogue or PAU.
  • Love making a difference for children and parents in different life situations.
  • Have your own professional responsibility and can remain calm (and loving) even when the waves are high.
  • Are resilient, stable and good at lending your nervous system to both children and parents.
  • Have knowledge of or interest in NEST, ICDP, mentalization as well as relationship and attachment psychology.
  • Believe that structure and predictability are the foundation for children’s well-being and development.
  • Are curious, empathetic and professionally and personally reflective.
  • See yourself and the parents as an important part of the solution.
