About the job

Would you like to be part of a socialpsychiatric supported housing facility for citizens with mental and/or social difficulties?

We are looking for a contact person with a social or health care background and an interest in socialpsychiatric work.

About us

Kollektivhuset/Bellahøj III is a socialpsychiatric supported housing facility with 72 resident apartments distributed across two residential stairwells. The residents have individual rental contracts with the housing company and are admitted according to ABL § 105 with support under the Social Services Act §§ 83-85.

Our target group is citizens aged 25 and older with altered reality perception and personality disorders, which may be combined with anxiety, depression and misuse of various substances. The housing form is not suitable for citizens with major physical functional impairments and a need for help and support in this regard.

We work to strengthen citizens' opportunities to live a good life and to develop networks both in Kollektivhuset and in the local community. We actively use the local area for walks, activities and outings.

You will become part of a team with 29 skilled colleagues including the management. We have a broad age range and different professional backgrounds, which we see as a strength. We support each other in both the good and the difficult and place emphasis on respect and good collaboration.

You will collaborate with social- and health care assistants, social workers, nurses and pedagogues as well as external authorities, caseworkers, hospitals, doctors, psychiatrists and our night base.

At Kollektivhuset we offer support and activities from 08:00 to 22:00. The night base handles citizens' needs during the night hours. We do not use temps, but cover for each other, so you typically work with your regular colleagues.

We focus on a safe working environment and conduct risk assessments when necessary, so we can plan the efforts according to needs.

Your tasks

We work with the contact person scheme based on a rehabilitative and recovery-oriented approach, starting from the individual citizen's wishes, needs and resources. We use Motivational Interviewing and social skills training.

As a contact person you support the citizen in taking responsibility for their own daily life through help-to-help and presence when life is difficult. The individual contact person work may include support with cleaning, dishwashing, shopping and medical appointments. When the citizen is ready for job training, you also support this as needed.

We strive for high professional quality and respect the citizen's own choices. At the same time we present alternative possibilities when it makes sense for the citizen. This requires you to think creatively and find different solutions.

Documentation is an important part of the work. It should ensure learning and enable us to continuously adapt the intervention to the individual citizen.

We have various activities that support the rehabilitative work. Many citizens experience restlessness and anxiety, and therefore we also offer easily accessible baseline activities that we motivate citizens to participate in. These include socializing in the café twice a week, a gardening group and NADA, where citizens can find calm through acupuncture.

For more active citizens we have a swimming group, an exercise offer at Grøndals Center and an outdoors group with trips in nature and overnight stays in shelters, etc.

We would also like to try new activities, so if you have creative competences or interests that can benefit the citizens, you will have the opportunity to bring them into play.

We are looking for you who

  • are educated as a pedagogue, social- and health care assistant or have another relevant social or health care education and have an interest in social psychiatry
  • find it professionally challenging to work with complex citizen pathways
  • see the value in thorough documentation and can use it for professional learning
  • thrive on giving and receiving professional sparring
  • have a professional approach and authority and can maintain calm and overview
  • can use IT at user level and have an interest in it
  • perhaps have experience with electronic journal and knowledge of FMK

We offer

You will receive a planned introductory program and be attached to a local mentor who will help you get started with the tasks and provide you with sparring opportunities.

We work medicationally with the citizens, but some still need distribution and administration of medicine. Therefore you will attend a mandatory medication course so you can perform the task.

If you have not previously participated in the recovery and rehabilitation module at Copenhagen University College of Engineering and Technology, we will plan when you should participate.

You will become part of an interdisciplinary team where collaboration, respect and professional sparring are a natural part of everyday life.

Employment terms

Salary and terms are in accordance with applicable collective agreement and within the framework of local pay formation.

The position is 37 hours per week with working hours from 08:00 to 22:00 every day of the week. You should expect some evening shifts and work every fourth weekend.

If you wish, there is occasionally an opportunity to help in the Night Base and take a night shift. This is completely voluntary. We place great emphasis on balancing private life and work and give you the opportunity to participate in planning your meeting times and your work.

We wish to fill the position by January 1, 2027. In connection with the employment we will obtain a criminal record and references.
