Electrician wanted – explore new paths as a service and installation technician

Electrician wanted – try new paths as a service and installation technician

Are you a trained electrician, and do you want new challenges and experience with another part of the technical world? At BAY Kompressor you get the opportunity to use your professional skills and learn to service and install compressor systems.

We are looking for an electrician who wants to develop themselves as a service and installation technician. You don't need to have experience with compressors – we provide thorough training. The most important is your technical understanding, your interest in mechanics and your desire to learn.

About the job

You will have a varied daily life with both electrical and mechanical tasks on high- and low-pressure compressors. You will primarily work on-site with our customers, performing service, fault finding, repair and installation of compressor systems and associated piping.

Occasionally there will also be tasks with preparation, assembly and repair at our workshop in Kastrup.

Travel is required, primarily in Denmark, and you must be prepared for overnight stays in connection with tasks in Jutland and Funen.

Your tasks

• Service and maintenance of high- and low-pressure compressors.
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair of compressors and associated systems.
• Set-up and installation of compressor systems and piping at customers.
• Preparation and mounting of new machines.
• Repair and assembly tasks at the workshop.
• Ensuring quality and safety in all tasks.
• Daily recording of work tasks, time consumption and driving in our time registration system.

About you

You are a trained electrician and want to use your experience in a new direction. You are curious about how machines work and are willing to work with both electrical and mechanical aspects.

We emphasise that you

• Have experience with electrical installations and fault finding.
• Want to learn about compressors and develop your mechanical skills.
• Can read electrical diagrams, technical drawings and installation manuals.
• Work independently, in a structured and responsible manner.
• Are approachable and enjoy contact with customers.
• Focus on quality and safety.
• Are flexible and prepared for travel with overnight stays.
• Have a driving license B. A BE license is an advantage, but not a requirement. A forklift certificate is not a requirement either.

You don't need to know everything from day one. We will build on your experience as an electrician and teach you the rest.

We offer

• An exciting and versatile job where you combine your electrical engineering background with new competencies in mechanics and compressor technology.
• Thorough training and good opportunities for professional development.
• Independent tasks and close contact with customers.
• Good colleagues, strong sense of community and an informal tone with plenty of room to breathe.
• Company events and room for good humor in daily work.
• Salary based on qualifications and health insurance.
• A fully equipped service van as well as a laptop, tablet and mobile phone.
• A broad customer base including diving, fire and rescue as well as industry.
