Energi Fyn is seeking a Commercial Asset Manager for business development

Energi Fyn Produktion is responsible for the operation, development and commercial optimization of Energi Fyn's asset portfolio, which currently consists of 84 MW of upward regulation reserves distributed across five locations, a BESS facility and 73 MW of controllable wind turbines.

We are facing an exciting development where energy markets are becoming increasingly complex due to greater electrification, new market models, regulatory changes and higher volatility. Therefore, we want to strengthen our internal commercial capabilities and are looking for a Commercial Asset Manager who can help identify, analyze and realize new business opportunities.

As a Commercial Asset Manager you will play a central role in developing the business and optimizing the value creation from our production assets. The role is aimed at you who are motivated by understanding market mechanisms, generating insights and being the professional sparring partner that leaders and colleagues turn to when the most important decisions are to be made.

Your main tasks will include, among others

• Monitor energy markets and analyse market development as well as regulatory changes and price formation
• Prepare commercial analyses and decision documents and contribute to business cases
• Commercial optimization and utilization of our assets, including pricing and pricing strategy
• Analyse and evaluate investment opportunities, partnerships and new business opportunities
• Optimize service and operating agreements with focus on value creation and cost efficiency
• Identify opportunities in new technologies, flexibility, energy storage and system services
• Collaborate closely with colleagues in operations, finance, compliance and other central functions

About you

You have solid experience from the energy sector and are motivated by working at the intersection of analysis, strategy and business. You have a strong understanding of energy markets and price formation, as well as experience with business cases, financial analyses and commercial decision-making processes. You have strong analytical capabilities and experience working structured with data and can translate complex analyses into concrete recommendations and initiatives.

As a person, you thrive with a high degree of independent responsibility and work in a structured, systematic and goal-oriented manner. You are curious about market development and new business opportunities and motivated by identifying and realizing value-creating initiatives. Last but not least, you are good at collaborating and building relationships across the organization.

You have a good technical understanding, are used to working in Excel at a high level and it would be an advantage if you have experience with e.g. electricity production, wind energy, energy trading, system services, asset management or investment analyses. You also have a relevant higher education such as Cand.merc., Cand. Oecon or similar.
