About the job

Would you like to be part of a workplace that highly values transparency, equality and mutual respect, and that appreciates collaboration and diversity in the staff group? Then you may be the one we are looking for.

We need an educator who desires the best for children's personal, social and academic development, is passionate about developing cooperation between leisure time and school, and has the courage and desire to be a visible and approachable adult for all children.

You will meet a professionally grounded and well-functioning staff group with a common professional direction and a focus on the children and the core task. Our goal is high quality so that all children and young people can develop personally, socially and academically. We strive for professional and constructive collaboration between pedagogues and teachers, where we have knowledge of each other's competences, expectations and ambitions.

We focus on visible and transparent leadership based on the following values

  • Credibility – something we must create
  • Clarity – to strive to be in communication and processes
  • Curiosity – something we will insist on
  • Integrity – something that permeates our task

Leisure-time and school share a common value base and vision, where each KKFO/grade team can work individually with pedagogical efforts based on the age group compositions. We thus want each self-managing KKFO team to maintain its distinct character. We work in an appreciative manner and have a focus on inclusive pedagogy. We place great emphasis on equality and mutual respect. Our goal is high quality so that all children and young people have a safe and secure development environment with a focus on well-being and learning.

As an employer we expect everyone to be responsible and have a high work ethic. That one can make independent decisions and take action, possesses situational awareness and participates on an equal footing with all colleagues.

The leisure-time provision serves approximately 440 children aged six to ten years. We work in four year-group teams, each team consisting of about 120 children, three-five school classes, about six-eight staff. We strive to work consciously with age integration and thus activities across year groups and teams. Leisure time and school share a common value base and vision. Each KKFO team works from individual pedagogical profiles based on the year group and the children's compositions. Everyone has a focus on good and fun school days and work days.

As an educator we expect you to

  • have courage and a desire to be a visible and welcoming adult for all children
  • be reliable and flexible
  • contribute with commitment in all contexts
  • have a desire to collaborate between leisure time and school
  • be responsible and have a high work ethic
  • can make independent decisions and take action
  • have an overview and situational awareness and participate on equal terms with your colleagues

If you can play music and use some of our fine music rooms, that would be fantastic, but the most important is that you are motivated, engaged and curious. That you have an appreciative view of children with a focus on good and fun school days for all children and adults.

Employment conditions

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement with the City of Copenhagen and within the framework of local wage formation.

The position is a permanent appointment of 32-37 hours per week for tasks in leisure-time and school. Start date 1 December 2026.
