Engineer sought for project appointment in the internal design office at Building and Properties in Roskilde Municipality

Roskilde Municipality, Department of Construction and Properties seeks an engineer for a project position in the Town Hall's internal design studio, with start on January 1, 2027 and until the project's completion, currently December 31, 2027, but with the possibility of a shorter extension of 3-4 months, should the project unexpectedly be delayed in the execution period.

The design studio is in the process of rebuilding and optimizing Roskilde Town Hall to implement an activity-based layout and a new ventilation system in part of the building. Of four phases, we have just started the execution phase of phase 3, and we are about to start the design of phase 4 in parallel.

You will take the role of the owner's construction manager, and the point of contact for contractors as well as the external technical consultants in electrical, fire, HVAC and structural engineering. We are a small well-functioning multidisciplinary team that works closely together daily: other team members work with project planning, BIM models, interior design, data collection, law and economics. There is a focus in the renovation on direct reuse of materials and furnishings, and we have a dialog-based approach to interior design for the upcoming users. We are independent and practical.

ABOUT YOU You are an engineer with construction management experience and preferably a degree in construction management. You are an experienced user of Revit and Dalux. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of HVAC since the project includes a new ventilation system. You are imaginative, solution-oriented and practically minded and not afraid to scrutinize detailed design for specialist contractors. You have a good construction-technical overview, and you want to work with the ongoing building transformation, in the role of construction manager and owner supervision.

Salary and employment Employment is in accordance with the current collective agreement and the Ny Løn pay principles. The position is full-time.
