A LITTLE ABOUT ME

I am a cheerful, lively 20-year-old man who, after an accident in 2025, is now a tetraplegic; I am paralyzed from the shoulders down and therefore am dependent on help with everything.

I spend a lot of time on my training, in addition I enjoy socializing with friends and family, in various contexts including watching a good football match, going to the cinema or to a concert, eating out, café trips with friends, etc.

After a lengthy hospitalization at Skejby and then the West Danish Center for Spinal Cord Injury in Viborg, I am now living in temporary accommodation in Espe near Ringe, I will move home to my parents' farm in early November, where there will be a wheelchair-accessible extension ready for moving in.

Besides my parents, I have an 18-year-old younger brother who lives at home, and we have a sweet Labrador, so it is advantageous if you are okay with dogs.

JOB DESCRIPTION

I am without a respirator and feeding tube (though my lung capacity is severely reduced), but I need help with basically everything, including shopping, cooking, bringing food and drink to the mouth, all personal care, transfers with ceiling lift, help with training, stretching of joints and muscles, cleaning, etc.

I use a CPAP a couple of times daily and have a suction machine, as well as a couple of small devices that I train my lungs with.

In the long term, I plan to study and you will also be involved in school.

You will as a substitute with me be part of a good, flexible and necessary team of disability helpers who together cover all shifts year-round.

The job takes place in my own home, for leisure activities, social events and various excursions.

I have help 24 hours a day and shifts are divided into 16-hour day shifts 07:00-23:00, and waking night shifts 23:00-07:00.

There may be substitute hours due to illness, vacation in the fixed team, and possibly a need to cover hours in connection with the execution of parental leave in the fixed team.

There will be 10 hours of training at the home address.

• Driver's license B + own car, as we live in the countryside, with no public transport nearby
• Independent and responsible
• Flexible and reliable
• Practical
• Has situational awareness
• Age, gender, and experience are not important, as I see a mixed team as an advantage
• Good humor, and a sense of humor is an advantage
