12-year-old Aras is seeking a caring and engaged caregiver – Brøndby Strand

Imagine a job where music, presence, good laughs and small moments of success are an important part of daily life. Where your time and attention can make a noticeable difference for another person.

That is exactly the person Aras is looking for!

Aras is 12 years old and lives in Brøndby Strand with his mother, father and younger sister. He is a happy and calm boy who enjoys company and loves music, singing and playing the piano. He is curious about the world around him and wants to learn new things and develop his skills.

Aras is blind and diagnosed with atypical autism. He therefore needs verbal support and guidance in different situations, but he can often appear more independent than he actually is.

He also enjoys socializing with other children, for example in the playground, and thrives with people around him.

Your most important task – to create safe and cozy moments

The family is looking for a caregiver who can be with Aras when the rest of the family goes on trips with his little sister.

It is not always that the family's shared activities match Aras' interests and needs. Therefore, they want a person who can give him some good hours with presence, security and activities that start from him.

The care support takes place primarily in the family's home and on weekends. Aras loves being at home where he can relax and occupy himself with what he enjoys.

Your tasks will include, among other things to

• Create a safe and positive relationship with Aras.
• Be present and start from his interests and needs.
• Participate in cozy activities focusing on, among other things, music, singing and companionship.
• Support and guide Aras verbally in everyday situations.
• Motivate him to positive challenges and support his desire to learn new things.

There may also be care tasks in the form of diaper changes and verbal guidance in connection with toilet visits.

The most important thing is that you meet Aras with patience, curiosity and a positive mindset – and want to get to know him on his terms.

Working hours

The position is essentially 6 hours per week on weekends – either Saturday or Sunday.

The working hours are within the period 11:00-19:00, and the exact placement and duration are agreed closer with the family.

There is talk of up to 24 hours per month.
