About the job

Occupational therapists and physiotherapists for new health and care plazas, Sygehus Lillebælt - be part of it from the start!

Do you think that developments in the healthcare system open up new, exciting ways to work with rehabilitation and multidisciplinary collaboration? Do you want to help create the best possible citizen journeys on the health and care plazas? We are now seeking engaged occupational therapists and physiotherapists who want to join our new team.

In connection with the health reform, we are establishing health and care plazas in Kolding, Middelfart, Fredericia, Thyregod and Vejle as of January 1, 2027. The programs at the plazas have a multidisciplinary, rehabilitative aim, so that citizens achieve increased functional ability, greater independence and improved quality of life. Citizens can come from their own home or from the hospital and should experience a safe and coherent pathway.

Training, care and assistance are integrated into all daily activities during the stay, and the therapists are an equal part of the overall team around the citizen. The physiotherapists and occupational therapists will be organized in a new department in the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy at Sygehus Lillebælt with a chief therapist for the health and care plazas as the nearest manager.

The structure must balance the need for high therapist professional quality with the desire for local anchoring at the individual plazas and close, trusting multidisciplinary collaboration. We are seeking occupational or physiotherapists for daily operations at the health and care plazas in Kolding (located in Vesterløkke), Vejle and Thyregod.

About you

  • Have Danish authorization as an occupational therapist or physiotherapist
  • Experience in working with rehabilitation and reconditioning
  • Are used to working in multidisciplinary collaboration
  • Are strong in your own discipline, and can actively apply your professional expertise in the multidisciplinary setting
  • Are keen to be involved in building and developing a new offering
  • Are prepared to participate in a duty roster with weekend and holiday work

Personally you thrive with both fixed frameworks and change, and you are curious about new workflows, forms of collaboration and rehabilitative approaches.

About us

The department is a newly created section for physiotherapists and occupational therapists at the health and care plazas. The Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy departments at Vejle and Kolding Hospitals are independent but closely collaborating departments for physiotherapists and occupational therapists, where in total about 110 people are employed. The staff group consists, besides therapists, of secretaries, staff in the assistive devices depots and researchers. The Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy departments are clinical education sites.

We have a close collaboration with the Department for Close Health (Afdelingen for Nær Sundhed) on the health and care plazas. At the plazas, the staff group consists of social- and health care assistants, nurses, therapists and house attendants. There is medical coverage at the plazas.
