Physiotherapists for the health and care facilities in Grindsted

We are seeking an engaged and clinically strong physiotherapist for the new health and care placements under Borgernær Sundhed at Esbjerg and Grindsted Hospital. Here you will have a unique opportunity to leave your mark on the physiotherapy efforts and to help create the future citizen-centered rehabilitation in collaboration with other professional groups.

A job where your physiotherapeutic contribution makes a difference At the health and care placements you will meet citizens who need a health professional input that does not require hospital admission, but which cannot be effectively handled at home. This can include, among others, elderly citizens and citizens with several concurrent chronic conditions, acute worsening of a known condition, or reduced functional capacity after a hospital stay.

You will have a daily life where you work independently and at the same time be part of a multidisciplinary team.

You will, among other things, be responsible for

• examining and assessing citizens' physical function and rehabilitation needs
• planning, implementing and evaluating physiotherapy interventions
• working with mobilization, walking function, transfers, balance and physical activity in daily activities
• supporting citizens' ability to maintain or regain functional capacity and return to their own home or an appropriate housing form
• assessing the need for aids and advising on safe use
• collaborating with nursing staff to integrate activity and rehabilitation into daily routines and care situations
• contributing to common goals and plans together with the citizen, relatives and relevant professional groups
• contributing to coordination and smooth transitions between health and care placements, hospital, municipality and citizen's home
• contributing to the development of professional practice, workflows and quality in the new offering

Be part of building something new As a result of the Health Reform, the regions will from January 1, 2027 take responsibility for health and care placements. At Esbjerg and Grindsted Hospital, the new clinical department Borgernær Sundhed is under construction. The aim is to create a more closely connected and equitable health system, where citizens experience coherence in their pathways and where the right competencies are in place at the right time.

Esbjerg and Grindsted Hospital will establish 16 placements in Grindsted, Billund Municipality. Here, nurses, doctors, physiotherapists and occupational therapists as well as social and health care assistants work closely together.

You will have the opportunity to help develop both the physiotherapeutic input and the shared workflows. Our collective goal is to help the citizen get back to their own life with dignity, efficient pathways and high professional standards – with the citizen as an active participant.

Who are you?

We are seeking a physiotherapist who

• has broad physiotherapy experience and preferably experience with rehabilitation of citizens with complex or medical issues
• has strong clinical assessment skills and can translate observations into relevant actions
• works purposefully and rehabilitatively with attention to the citizen's resources, wishes and daily life
• can work independently, prioritize tasks and adapt the intervention to the citizen's changing needs
• communicates clearly and respectfully and can build trust and security with citizens and relatives
• actively contributes to the multidisciplinary collaboration and shares physiotherapeutic knowledge with colleagues
• is curious, learning-oriented and motivated to develop professional practice and workflows
• takes co-responsibility for a good collegial community and a safe working environment

Employment terms The position is 37 hours per week with start on January 1, 2027. Working hours will include day shifts on weekends.

Salary and employment terms follow the collective agreement between Danish Physiotherapists and Danish Regions. The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be told the base salary, centrally determined allowances and pension in Collective Agreement for Non-Management Staff in the Health Cartel area 32.17.1 - salary as of 1.4.2026 . In addition to the starting salary, the salary may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
