Are you an occupational therapist with a particular interest in the dysphagia area for adults and children, and also for children with cerebral palsy and other work with inpatients and outpatients, you now have the opportunity to be employed in a position that fulfills this interest in the Central Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy at North Zealand Hospital.

We are seeking 1 occupational therapist who has pronounced good collaborative skills, who has ambitions on behalf of the profession and is naturally focused on how occupational therapists can contribute to creating good patient pathways both internally at the hospital and across sectors now and in the future health service. In other words, we can offer you an exciting job with a varied workweek with patients within several specialties.

Who are we?

The Central Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy (CT) covers ward areas at both Hillerød and Frederikssund Hospital within the medical and surgical specialties as well as in the pediatric area. CT has a standard allocation of 3 occupational therapists, and 19 physiotherapists in Hillerød and 8 in Frederikssund. In addition, the team includes a house assistant and a secretary as well as clinical instructors.

The Central Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy is organizationally affiliated with the Department of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, and there is opportunity for professional sparring and development with the neurological and orthopedic surgical physiotherapists and occupational therapists.

CT is characterized by a high professional level, where colleagues support each other in daily work, and where there is also room for humor and an informal tone. Space and opportunity for professional development are highly valued, just as there is a continuous focus on the work environment and well-being.

North Zealand Hospital is one of the four large acute hospitals in the Capital Region and offers treatment at the hospitals in Hillerød and Frederikssund as well as in the Health House in Helsingør. Our core task is to offer patients the best and most effective treatment, where the patient’s needs guide the efforts. Physiotherapists and occupational therapists at North Zealand Hospital play a significant role here.

About the position

You will mainly work with assessment and rehabilitation of inpatients with dysphagia. In the longer term, depending on your competences, there will also be specialized tasks in intensive care and at the hospital’s swallow clinic.

In addition, the position will include work with children with cerebral palsy in our CPOP clinic, as well as assessing the need for developing a rehabilitation plan for inpatients and outpatient children.

In fulfilling the occupational therapy tasks you will work closely with the 2 occupational therapists in CT, as well as the therapists in the children's team.

As a starting point, there should be 2-3 mornings per week with an occupational therapist present at Frederikssund Hospital, but this is planned flexibly depending on needs and will be distributed among the 3 occupational therapists. A driving license and access to a car would be an advantage.
