ESG Specialist – Data, Climate & Reporting BOLIA

Do you want to translate complex ESG- and climate data into robust decision bases and help drive BOLIA's sustainability efforts forward?

We are seeking a structured and analytical ESG Specialist with a strong interest in climate, data and reporting. You will play a central role in the work with our climate accounting, ESG reporting and SBTi targets and become an important driver in ensuring that our data, processes and reporting are consistent, transparent and decision-relevant. The position gives you the opportunity to work at the intersection of Finance, Sustainability and the business and contribute to the continued development of BOLIA's ESG efforts.

About the role

As an ESG Specialist you will become part of the Finance team at our international headquarters in Aarhus. The position is organizationally anchored in Finance, while the Sustainability Manager has the professional responsibility for the ESG and climate area.

You will have daily interaction with both Finance and Sustainability and thus become an important bridge between the two domains. You will be responsible for the practical coordination, follow-up and quality assurance of climate and ESG data across the organization and work closely with, among others, Finance, People & Development, Customer Supply, Sales and external partners.

You will also contribute to translating ESG and climate data into decision-relevant insight that supports BOLIA's strategic and operational objectives. The role combines technical climate insight with strong data, process and governance capabilities.

Your primary responsibilities

• Coordinate and collect activity data for Scope 1, 2 and 3 from internal and external data sources.
• Validate, verify and reconcile climate and ESG data and follow up on gaps, deviations and uncertainties.
• Maintain data sources, emission factors, calculation methods, assumptions and documentation.
• Support the development of the overall climate accounting, including calculations, version control and audit trail.
• Support follow-up on BOLIA's SBTi targets, baseline, recalculation needs, KPI's and reductions.
• Contribute to transition plans and reduction scenarios.
• Develop process descriptions, method descriptions, annual plans and clear roles and responsibilities for data owners.
• Develop and support processes, controls and governance around ESG data and reporting.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of BOLIA's CSRD- and ESG-reporting.
• Identify opportunities for automation, standardization and streamlining of ESG-related processes and workflows.

Your profile

• You have experience with climate accounts and preferably practical knowledge of the GHG Protocol, Scope 1, 2 and 3 and SBTi.
• You work confidently with large datasets and have strong Excel skills. Experience with Power BI, ESG platforms or other data management tools is an advantage.
• You have an eye for data quality, controls, documentation and traceability and thrive on creating structure in complex processes.
• You have an interest in systems, data governance and process development and are motivated by creating scalable solutions.
• You can collaborate across disciplines and follow up constructively with data owners and external partners.
• You communicate clearly in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
• You are curious, thorough and independent and motivated by translating insights into concrete improvements.
