Exclusive conference center seeks experienced waiter

Do you notice details, take responsibility and understand what creates a good guest experience? Egelund Castle (Slot) is seeking a full-time waiter who will help provide our guests with an experience beyond the ordinary in beautiful and historic surroundings. If this sounds like you, read on.

About the position As a waiter at Egelund Castle you will be an important part of the overall guest experience. You will work closely with the kitchen, reception and other colleagues to ensure that guests experience professional hospitality and a high level of service throughout their stay.

You will play a central role in the daily operations, helping to ensure that today’s events, meetings and conferences run professionally, and that guests feel welcome from arrival to departure. You will have a varied everyday life where collaboration, flexibility and an overview are crucial.

About you You have experience with service at a high level and understand that the small details often make the biggest difference. In addition, you are a colleague who arrives at work with good humor, energy and a desire to contribute to the community. We imagine that you:

• Have a natural service mindset and meet guests in a present and approachable manner.
• Work independently, take initiative and maintain an overview when the pace is high.
• Communicate clearly and collaborate professionally across the house.
• Can train, support and work closely with our younger hourly staff.
• Are flexible with regard to working hours.
• Help across the house when needed.
• Understand and speak Danish.

It is an advantage if you also have an interest in wine and would like to learn to guide guests to great experiences.

About us Egelund Castle is a conference center for meetings, courses and conferences. The castle has 37 rooms, conference facilities, a bonfire area, orangery, beautifully furnished rooms and a castle park with views and access down to Esrum Lake. We are proud of our high level of gastronomy and professional service. Our guests should feel welcome, valued and seen.

You will become part of a small team of permanent staff and hourly waiters. We place emphasis on professionalism, respect and a safe working environment. We believe the best guest experience is created when we collaborate, keep a good tone and help each other.

Your working hours will primarily be on weekdays from 7:30 to 15:00 and from 15:00 to 22:00, with the possibility of extension during busy periods. In addition, there will be occasional weekend shifts. The castle is closed during school holidays, so you can freely plan your holiday.
