About the job

Would you like to help shape the future of the health care system? At Sjællands Universitetshospital we work to translate health reform, health plans and new forms of collaboration into solutions that create coherent patient pathways across hospitals, municipalities and general practice. Here you will have the opportunity to influence the development of a modern, sustainable and outward-facing university hospital for the benefit of both patients and staff.

We are seeking a strong academic to strategic health planning at the crossroads between clinic, management and external partners. Sjællands Universitetshospital is at the center of a historic transformation with the move into the new university hospital, the implementation of health reform and the establishment of Region Østdanmark. Here you will work on some of the most central development tasks in the health service in a well-functioning team with engaged colleagues.

Who are we? Health planning is part of the staff at Sjællands Universitetshospital and works closely with the hospital's management, the clinical departments and our partners outside the hospital. We are engaged generalists with diverse professional backgrounds and competences, but with a common ambition to create the best possible framework for patient treatment and coherent patient pathways.

Our tasks span from political support and strategic planning to operations-oriented support of the department heads. At the same time, we play a central role in the hospital's largest development tasks, where health reform, health plans and new forms of collaboration continually create new opportunities and demands. Common to our tasks is that they require a view of the whole, well-thought-out processes and the desire to create solutions across professions, departments and sectors.

With us you get a lot of freedom under responsibility and good opportunities to shape both your tasks and your workday. We believe that the best results are created in collaboration, and therefore we prioritize sparring, knowledge sharing and a strong collegial community highly. You get responsibility from the start, but you never stand alone. We help each other and enjoy working together, both professionally and socially.

Om jobbet Sundhedsplanlægning often has a coordinating role in task solving – some cases require rapid action, while others only yield results in the longer term. We work closely with department heads and hospital management and use a plan-partner structure that brings us closer to the clinical work.

Currently the work is shaped by the new health plans, preparations for moving into the new university hospital in Køge and the upcoming transition to Region Østdanmark in the Health Planning portfolio.

Examples of tasks in Health Planning

  • Preparation of the Local Health Plan for the Health Council East Zealand and the Islands
  • Planning the framework for the hospital's treatments in light of the new health plan for Region Østdanmark and the upcoming new specialty plan
  • Strategic support of the clinical department heads.
  • Preparation of decision papers and responses to political inquiries and hearings.
  • Support of tasks relocated from municipalities
  • Contributions to local optimization and reorganizations.
  • Project management of both small and large development tasks.

The position is expected to have a focus on cooperation with the Health Council East Zealand and Islands, the preparation of new health plans and other strategic political tasks in connection with the implementation of the health reform.

Your final task portfolio will be assembled together depending on competences, experiences and interests.

Om dig We are looking for a candidate with a relevant academic education, e.g., in public health science or organizational science, and strong competences in:

  • To drive and complete tasks and projects.
  • To write clear and solid decision proposals and responses.
  • To apply methods for planning and project management.
  • To conduct inclusive processes – even when there is resistance.

We seek an analytical and process-oriented profile with political understanding and experience from a similar position in a public organization - e.g., a hospital, a region, a municipality, an agency or a ministry. Knowledge of the health service and possibly the health reform is an advantage.

The position requires a high degree of independence and a proactive approach to task solving. You will play a central role in the team with responsibility for development tasks and projects and a great opportunity to influence the hospital's development. We also place emphasis on you mastering secretarial work and being able to navigate a large and complex organization with many stakeholders. And you should want to develop the health service and be a co-creator of the solutions that will ensure high quality, proximity and coherence for patients in the future.

Ansættelsesforhold There is a permanent full-time position. Salary and other terms follow the applicable collective agreement. Depending on experience and competences there is for the experienced candidate the possibility of employment as senior or chief consultant.

Your primary place of work will be in Køge, but you must be prepared to attend in Roskilde and Nykøbing F on occasion in connection with meeting activities. Expected start is 1 February 2027.

Want to know more? Contact professional leader Vibeke Nordholm Skytte at telephone 3066 4107.

Ansøgningsfrist The application deadline is 8 November 2026.

We want to find the right colleague and therefore hold two rounds of interviews. For the second interview you should prepare a case. We will hold interviews in weeks 46-48.
