As a contract negotiator you will play a central role in securing the best possible agreements with external suppliers. The role requires strong negotiation skills and the ability to create alignment between citizens' needs, professional quality, legislation and finances.

Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality regularly purchases specialized services for children, youth and adults from external providers. You will help ensure that the agreements support citizens' needs while maintaining quality, follow-up and financial accountability hand in hand.

What is the task?

As a contract negotiator you must ensure that the municipality's purchase of social offers and interventions rests on a solid professional, legal and financial basis. You will play a central role in contract negotiation, contract follow-up and the further development of a uniform practice across the specialized social area.

The tasks are carried out in close collaboration with caseworkers, professional coordinators and management, where you contribute to creating coherence between the citizen's needs, the chosen intervention, the quality of the offering and the agreed finances. The area is already supported by established workflows, which you will help anchor and further develop.

Your tasks will include, among other things

• negotiate and follow up on contracts with external suppliers
• identify and analyze cases with potential for negotiation or follow-up
• contribute to the implementation, quality assurance and further development of workflows
• conduct relevant analyses and price comparisons
• support the organization’s competence development within contract management and negotiation
• collaborate across the children, family and adult areas

Who are you?

You are able to combine financial accountability with a social work perspective and can navigate safely in the crossroad between citizens' needs, professional quality, legislation and financial management.

You have experience with negotiation, contract management or supplier collaboration and thrive in a role where you must achieve results through dialogue, analysis and close collaboration with colleagues and external actors. It is an advantage if you have a social work background and knowledge of the Danish Social Services Act (Serviceloven) and the Child Act (Barnets Lov).

As a person you are curious, persistent and solution-oriented. You are clear in your communication, stand firm when the situation requires it, and at the same time manage to build trusting relationships. You are motivated by creating tangible results and see the value in succeeding together with others.

The position is to be filled from December 1, 2026. Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
