The position is 32–37 hours on average per week with a mix of day and evening shifts and a weekend shift every 4th weekend.

A residence with the person at the centre

Fårevejle Kirkebo is a housing and development house for younger people with various forms of disabilities.

A versatile position with both presence and health-care professional responsibility

As a social- and health care assistant with us you will have a varied workday, where you are close to the residents and have the opportunity to delve into the health-care tasks.

You will become part of a fixed team around four residents, where you take a central role in their health and well-being. At the same time you will be part of our health team, which consists of four social- and health care assistants and two nurses.

Your shifts will be a combination of two roles

• The direct work with the residents

Here you help create a safe, active and meaningful everyday life. The tasks range from personal care and support in daily routines to activities, experiences and outings.

It is here that relationships have space, and where your ability to see, understand and meet the individual person has great significance.

• The health-care professional work across the house

You will also have shifts as medication responsible, where you handle the health-care tasks across the house.

Your tasks will include

• Medication management, dosing and pickup at the pharmacy.
• Health-care observations and follow-up when ill.
• Contact and coordination with doctors and other health-care partners.
• Health-care documentation.
• Patient safety shifts with particular focus on nursing documentation, quality and systematic work.

In other words, you have the opportunity to bring your full professional skills into play – both in direct contact with residents and in the work to ensure high quality and patient safety.

We are looking for you who have the professional expertise in order – and the heart as well

You are trained as a social- and health care assistant and have experience you can actively bring into play with us.

In addition, we emphasise that you

• Work independently, structured and take responsibility for your tasks.
• Have a strong health-care understanding and an eye for both detail and the whole.
• Can read residents’ needs – even when they are not expressed in words.
• Meet people with warmth, respect and patience.
• Maintain calm and an overview in a changing daily life.
• Thrive in interdisciplinary collaboration and contribute to professional sparring and good collegiality.
