Apply for the position

Do you want to set the technical direction for one of the market's strongest commissioning teams? As head of the discipline you will be responsible for developing our commissioning services, raising the team's professional level and shaping the development of the commissioning market – in close collaboration with some of Denmark's largest clients.

About the Renovation & Installations department

The department is part of the division Existing Construction & Specialties, where we are more than 300 colleagues with specialist competencies within technical installations, buildings & structures and property development. Our goal is to extend buildings' lifespans with high-quality solutions and a focus on sustainability. We work for clients such as Energinet, the Defence, Novo Nordisk, DTU, Copenhagen Airport, Region Hovedstaden, DR, ATP Ejendomme, PFA Ejendomme and Carlsberg Foundation.

Team | Commissioning

The team works with sales, execution and development of commissioning services for clients – both in standalone commissioning projects and as part of larger consultancy assignments. We build our advice on a strong, cross-disciplinary professional base, which we develop together through professional meetings, knowledge forums and shared tools – with room for individual approaches to the discipline.

Your responsibilities

As head of the discipline, you have the overall professional responsibility for the commissioning area. You set the direction, ensure quality in our deliveries and develop the discipline strategically – while also being hands-on in critical deliverables, e.g. by defining commissioning requirements and leading reviews and test processes. Your responsibilities include, among others:

  • Develop and own the overall commissioning strategy, including objectives and action plans for the discipline group
  • Map and develop the discipline group's competencies to maintain a high and competitive professional level
  • Identify improvements and professional development initiatives and implement them in collaboration with the team leader
  • Call and facilitate Q-meetings on, among other things, best practice, market trends and important knowledge within the field
  • Ensure professional coordination and alignment of solutions across departments in collaboration with the discipline coordinators, e.g. via technical meetings approximately every other month
  • Participate in bid preparations, including mapping services and fee estimates
  • Maintain the discipline's materials and knowledge sharing on internal platforms
  • Represent Sweco in relevant external professional fora

Your profile

You have a construction and civil engineering background, e.g. as an engineer, marine engineer, energy technologist, installer or CTS technician, and at least 6 years of experience with commissioning in the construction industry – for example with leading commissioning processes and/or operational technical reviews and testing.

You think strategically, actively follow the market and can translate new insights into value for projects, clients and the business. You are a natural professional focal point who inspires and motivates your colleagues, and a strong sparring partner for both colleagues and clients.

As a person you are structured and independent, create an overview in complex tasks and thrive in a team-based environment with varied tasks.

We offer

  • A central role with great influence on how we develop commissioning – both internally and in the market
  • A strong professional environment with skilled and engaged colleagues
  • Exciting projects for some of the country’s largest and most renowned clients
  • Independence and responsibility in an informal and flexible way of working with a close collegial atmosphere
  • Cross-disciplinary collaboration in an international company with a focus on sustainable solutions
